Romans 1:1-32

1 ¶ Paul, slave of Jesus, the Christ, called to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God 2 (which he had promised before by his prophets in the holy scriptures) 3 of his Son (who was born unto him of the seed of David according to the flesh, 4 who was declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the Spirit of sanctification, by the resurrection from the dead), of Jesus, the Christ, our Lord. 5 By whom we have received the grace and the apostleship, to cause the faith to be obeyed among all the Gentiles in his name, 6 among whom ye are also the called of Jesus Christ; 7 to all that are in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints; ye have grace and peace of God our Father and of the Lord Jesus, the Christ. 8 ¶ First, I thank my God through Jesus, the Christ, regarding you all, that your faith is preached in all the world. 9 For God is my witness, whom I serve in my spirit in the gospel of his Son, that without ceasing I always remember you in my prayers, 10 making request, if by any means now at length I might have a prosperous journey by the will of God to come unto you. 11 For I long to see you that I may impart with you some spiritual gift to confirm you, 12 that is, that I may be comforted together with you by the mutual faith both of you and me. 13 Now I would not have you ignorant, brethren, that many times I purposed to come unto you (but up until now I have been unable) that I might have some fruit among you also, even as among other Gentiles. 14 I am debtor both to the Greeks and to the Barbarians; both to the wise and to the unwise. 15 So, as much as in me is, I am ready to announce the gospel to you that are at Rome also. 16 ¶ For I am not ashamed of the gospel of the Christ; for it is the power of God to give saving health to every one that believes: to the Jew first and also to the Greek. 17 For in him is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith, as it is written, The just shall live by faith. 18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and injustice of men, who hold back the truth with injustice; 19 ¶ because that which is known of God is manifest to them; for God has showed it unto them. 20 For the invisible things of him, his eternal power and divinity, are clearly understood by the creation of the world and by the things that are made so that there is no excuse; 21 because having known God, they did not glorify him as God, neither were thankful, but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. 22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools 23 and exchanged the glory of the incorruptible God for the likeness of an image of corruptible man and of birds and of fourfooted beasts and of serpents. 24 Therefore God also gave them over to the lusts of their own hearts for uncleanness, to contaminate their own bodies between themselves, 25 who changed the truth of God into a lie and worshipped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed for all ages. Amen. 26 For this cause God gave them up unto shameful affections, for even their women changed the natural use into that which is against nature; 27 and likewise also the males, leaving the natural use of the females, burned in their lust one toward another, males with males committing nefarious works and receiving in themselves the recompense that proceeded from their error. 28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a perverse understanding, to do those things which are not convenient, 29 being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, 30 backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, 31 without understanding, covenant breakers, without natural affection, implacable, without mercy. 32 Who having understood the righteousness of God, they did not understand that those who do such things are worthy of death, not only those that do the same, but even those who encourage those that do them.

1 Thessalonians 4:3-5

3 For the will of God is your sanctification, that ye should separate yourselves from fornication, 4 that every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honesty, 5 not with affection of lust, as the Gentiles who do not know God,

James 1:14-15

14 But each one is tempted, when they are drawn away of their own lust and enticed. 15 Then when lust has conceived, it brings forth sin; and sin, when it is finished, brings forth death.

Revelation 22:15

15 But outside are the dogs and the sorcerers and the fornicators and the murderers and the idolaters and whosoever loves and makes a lie.

Genesis 19:1-38

1 ¶ And the two angels came to Sodom at evening; and Lot sat in the gate of Sodom, and Lot seeing them rose up to meet them, and he bowed himself with his face toward the ground, 2 and he said, Behold now, my lords, turn in, I pray you, into your slave’s house and tarry all night and wash your feet, and ye shall rise up early and go on your ways. And they said, No, but we will abide in the street all night. 3 And he pressed upon them greatly, and they turned in unto him and entered into his house, and he made them a banquet and baked unleavened bread, and they ate. 4 ¶ But before they lay down, the men of the city, even the men of Sodom, compassed the house round, both old and young, all the people from every quarter; 5 and they called unto Lot and said unto him, Where are the men who came in to thee this night? Bring them out unto us that we may know them. 6 And Lot went out at the door unto them and shut the door after him 7 and said, I pray you, brethren, do not so wickedly. 8 Behold now, I have two daughters who have not known man; let me, I pray you, bring them out unto you and do ye to them as is good in your eyes; only unto these men do nothing, for they have come under the shadow of my roof. 9 And they said, Stand back. And they said again, This fellow came in to sojourn and is he to lift himself up as judge? Now will we deal worse with thee than with them. And they did great violence to the man, even Lot, and came near to break the door. 10 Then the men put forth their hand and pulled Lot into the house with them and shut the door. 11 And they smote the men that were at the door of the house with blindness, both small and great so that they wearied themselves to find the door. 12 ¶ And the men said unto Lot, Hast thou anyone else here? Sons-in-law and thy sons and thy daughters and whatever thou hast in the city, bring them out of this place; 13 For we will destroy this place because the cry of them is waxed great before the face of the LORD, and the LORD has sent us to destroy it. 14 And Lot went out and spoke unto his sons-in-law, those who were to marry his daughters, and said, Up, get you out of this place; for the LORD will destroy this city. But he seemed as one that mocked unto his sons-in-law. 15 ¶ And when the morning arose, then the angels hastened Lot, saying, Arise, take thy wife and thy two daughters who are here; lest thou be consumed in the iniquity of the city. 16 And while he lingered, the men laid hold upon his hand and upon the hand of his wife and upon the hand of his two daughters, the LORD being merciful unto him; and they brought him forth and set him outside the city. 17 And it came to pass as they brought them forth outside, that he said, Escape; for thy soul, do not look behind thee, neither stop thou in all the plain; escape to the mountain, lest thou be consumed. 18 And Lot said unto them, Oh, not so, my lords; 19 behold now, thy slave has found grace in thy sight, and thou hast magnified thy mercy, which thou hast showed unto me in saving my life; but I cannot escape to the mountain, lest some evil take me, and I die. 20 Behold now, this city is near to flee unto, and it is a little one; Oh, let me escape there, (is it not a little one?) and my soul shall live. 21 And he said unto him, See, I have accepted thee concerning this thing also that I will not overthrow the city for which thou hast spoken. 22 Make thee haste, escape there; for I cannot do anything until thou hast arrived there. Therefore the name of the city was called Zoar. 23 The sun was rising upon the earth when Lot entered into Zoar. 24 ¶ Then the LORD rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the LORD out of the heavens; 25 and he overthrew those cities and all that plain, with all the inhabitants of those cities, and the fruit of the ground. 26 ¶ Then the wife of Lot looked back from behind him, and she became a pillar of salt. 27 ¶ And Abraham rose up early in the morning to the place where he had stood before the LORD. 28 And he looked toward Sodom and Gomorrah and toward all the land of that plain and beheld that the smoke of the land went up as the smoke of a furnace. 29 And it came to pass as God destroyed the cities of the plain that God remembered Abraham and sent Lot out of the midst of the destruction when he overthrew the cities in the which Lot dwelt. 30 ¶ But Lot went up out of Zoar and dwelt in the mountain and his two daughters with him; for he feared to dwell in Zoar; and he dwelt in a cave, he and his two daughters. 31 Then the firstborn said unto the younger, Our father is old, and there is not a man left in the earth to come in unto us after the manner of all the earth. 32 Come, let us make our father drink wine, and we will lie with him that we may preserve the generation of our father. 33 And they made their father drink wine that night; and the firstborn went in and lay with her father; and he perceived not when she lay down, nor when she arose. 34 And it came to pass on the next day that the firstborn said unto the younger, Behold, I lay last night with my father; let us make him drink wine this night also; and go thou in and lie with him that we may preserve the generation of our father. 35 And they made their father drink wine that night also, and the younger arose and lay with him; and he perceived not when she lay down, nor when she arose. 36 Thus were both the daughters of Lot with child by their father. 37 And the firstborn bore a son and called his name Moab; the same is the father of the Moabites unto this day. 38 And the younger, she also bore a son and called his name Benammi; the same is the father of the sons of Ammon unto this day.

Galatians 5:19-21

19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these: Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, 20 idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, 21 envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like; which I denounce, as I have also told you in time past that those who do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

Colossians 3:5

5 ¶ Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth: fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil lust, and covetousness, which is idolatry;

8 But the fearful and unbelieving and the abominable and murderers and fornicators and sorcerers and idolaters and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.

13 If a man shall join himself with a male as with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination; they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.

Romans 1:26-27

26 For this cause God gave them up unto shameful affections, for even their women changed the natural use into that which is against nature; 27 and likewise also the males, leaving the natural use of the females, burned in their lust one toward another, males with males committing nefarious works and receiving in themselves the recompense that proceeded from their error.

1 Corinthians 6:9-10

9 ¶ Know ye not that the unjust shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not err: neither fornicators nor idolaters nor adulterers nor effeminate nor homosexuals 10 nor thieves nor covetous nor drunkards nor revilers nor extortioners shall inherit the kingdom of God.
