²⁸ And fear not those who kill the body but are not able to kill the soul, but rather fear him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

²⁶ and whosoever lives and believes in me shall never die. Believest thou this?

⁵¹ ¶ Behold, I show you a mystery: We shall all indeed be raised, but we shall not all be changed; ⁵² in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet, for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised without corruption, and we shall be changed. ⁵³ For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. ⁵⁴ So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the word that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. ⁵⁵ O death, where is thy sting? O Hades, where is thy victory? ⁵⁶ The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. ⁵⁷ But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

²³ For the wages of sin is death, but the grace of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

⁴³ And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, Today shalt thou be with me in paradise.

¹⁶ For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.

¹⁴ For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so those who sleep in Jesus will God also bring with him.

⁷ and the dust returns to the earth as it was before and the spirit returns unto God who gave it.

⁸ For if we live, we live for the Lord; and if we die, we die for the Lord; whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord’s.

⁴ And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and death shall be no more neither shall there be any more sorrow nor crying nor pain; for the former things are passed away.
