YAH VEH, THE REDEEMER
And now thus says Yah Veh who created you, O Yaaqov, and he who formed you, O Yisra El, Awe not, for I redeemed you; I called your name; you are mine. 2 When you pass through the waters, I am with you; and through the rivers, they overflow you not: when you walk through the fire, you neither blister, nor the flame burn on you. 3 For I - Yah Veh your Elohim, the Holy One of Yisra El, your Saviour: I gave Misrayim for your koper/atonement, Kush and Seba for you. 4 Since you are precious in my eyes, honorable, and I love you: so I give humanity for you and nations for your soul. 5 Awe not: for I am with you: I bring your seed from the rising, and gather you from the dusk; 6 I say to the north, Give up! and to the south, Refrain not! Now it sprouts; Know you not? I even set a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desolation: 20 the live beings of the field honor me - the monsters and the daughters of the owls: because I give waters in the wilderness and rivers in the desolation, to give my people drink - my chosen. 21 I formed this people for myself; they scribe my halal. 22 And you called not on me, O Yaaqov; and you belabored of me, O Yisra El: 23 you neither brought me the lambs of your holocausts; nor honored me with your sacrifices. I neither had you serve with an offering; nor belabored you with incense. 24 You neither chatteled me sweet stalk with silver, nor satiated me with the fat of your sacrifices: only you had me to serve with your sins; you belabored me with your perversities. 25 I, I am he who wipes out your rebellions for my own sake, and remembers not your sins. 26 Remind me, so that we plead together: scribe you, that you be justified. 27 Your first father sinned, and your translators rebelled against me: 28 and I profaned the governors of the holies; and gave Yaaqov to the devotement and Yisra El to revilings.
