¹ And a great sign appeared in heaven: A woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars. ² And being with child, she cried travailing in birth: and was in pain to be delivered. ³ And there was seen another sign in heaven. And behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns and on his heads seven diadems. ⁴ And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven and cast them to the earth. And the dragon stood before the woman who was ready to be delivered: that, when she should be delivered, he might devour her son. ⁵ And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with an iron rod. And her son was taken up to God and to his throne. ⁶ And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she had a place prepared by God, that there they should feed her, a thousand two hundred sixty days. ⁷ And there was a great battle in heaven: Michael and his angels fought with the dragon, and the dragon fought, and his angels. ⁸ And they prevailed not: neither was their place found any more in heaven. ⁹ And that great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, who is called the devil and Satan, who seduceth the whole world. ¹ And I saw an angel coming down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. ² And he laid hold on the dragon, the old serpent, which is the devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years. ³ And he cast him into the bottomless pit and shut him up and set a seal upon him, that he should no more seduce the nations till the thousand years be finished. And after that, he must be loosed a little time.

And the dragon gave him his own strength and great power. ³ And I saw one of his heads as it were slain to death: and his death's wound was healed. And all the earth was in admiration after the beast. ⁴ And they adored the dragon which gave power to the beast. And they adored the beast, saying: Who is like to the beast? And who shall be able to fight with him? ⁵ And there was given to him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies: and power was given to him to do, two and forty months. ⁶ And he opened his mouth unto blasphemies against God, to blaspheme his name and his tabernacle and them that dwell in heaven. ⁷ And it was given unto him to make war with the saints and to overcome them. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints. ¹¹ And I saw another beast coming up out of the earth: and he had two horns, like a lamb: and he spoke as a dragon. ¹² And he executed all the power of the former beast in his sight. He that hath understanding, let him count the number of the beast. For it is the number of a man: and the number of him is six hundred sixty-six.

¹ In that day the Lord with his hard, and great, and strong sword shall visit leviathan the bar serpent, and leviathan the crooked serpent, and shall slay the whale that is in the sea.

But they shall be priests of God and of Christ: and shall reign with him a thousand years. ⁷ And when the thousand years shall be finished, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison and shall go forth and seduce the nations which are over the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog: and shall gather them together to battle, the number of whom is as the sand of the sea. ⁸ And they came upon the breadth of the earth and encompassed the camp of the saints and the beloved city. ⁹ And there cane down fire from God out of heaven and devoured them: and the devil, who seduced them, was cast into the pool of fire and brimstone, where both the beast ¹⁰ And the false prophet shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever. ¹¹ And I saw a great white throne and one sitting upon it, from whose face the earth and heaven fled away: and there was no place found for them ¹² And I saw the dead, great and small, standing in the presence of the throne. And the books were opened: and another book was opened, which was the book of life. And the dead were judged by those things which were written in the books, according to their works. ¹³ And the sea gave up the dead that were in it: and death and hell gave up their dead that were in them. And they were judged, every one according to their works. ¹⁴ And hell and death were cast into the pool of fire. This is the second death. ¹⁵ And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the pool of fire.

⁷ And when the thousand years shall be finished, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison and shall go forth and seduce the nations which are over the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog: and shall gather them together to battle, the number of whom is as the sand of the sea.
