²³ Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, No fat, of ox, or of sheep, or of goat shall ye eat. ²⁴ But the fat of a dead carcase, and the fat of that which is torn, may be used in any other use; but ye shall in no wise eat it.

⁸ But meat does not commend us to God; neither if we should not eat do we come short; nor if we should eat have we an advantage.

³ Let not him that eats make little of him that eats not; and let not him that eats not judge him that eats: for God has received him.

²⁹ And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb producing seed that is on the whole earth, and every tree in which is the fruit of a tree producing seed: it shall be food for you; ³⁰ and to every animal of the earth, and to every fowl of the heavens, and to everything that creepeth on the earth, in which is a living soul, every green herb for food. And it was so.
