¹ Proverbs of Solomon, son of David, king of Israel: ² to know wisdom and instruction; to discern the words of understanding; ³ to receive the instruction of wisdom, righteousness and judgment, and equity;

¹⁵ The way of a fool is right in his own eyes; but he that is wise hearkeneth unto counsel.

²⁴ Thy testimonies also are my delight [and] my counsellors.

¹⁴ But I am persuaded, my brethren, I myself also, concerning you, that yourselves also are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge, able also to admonish one another.

⁷ having cast all your care upon him, for he cares about you.

¹ Brethren, if even a man be taken in some fault, ye who are spiritual restore such a one in a spirit of meekness, considering thyself lest *thou* also be tempted.

⁹ Ointment and perfume rejoice the heart; and the sweetness of one`s friend is [the fruit] of hearty counsel.

¹⁴ Where no advice is, the people fall; but in the multitude of counsellors there is safety.

² Bear one another`s burdens, and thus fulfil the law of the Christ.

¹⁶ Every scripture [is] divinely inspired, and profitable for teaching, for conviction, for correction, for instruction in righteousness; ¹⁷ that the man of God may be complete, fully fitted to every good work.

¹⁸ There is that babbleth like the piercings of a sword; but the tongue of the wise is health.

¹³ But when *he* is come, the Spirit of truth, he shall guide you into all the truth: for he shall not speak from himself; but whatsoever he shall hear he shall speak; and he will announce to you what is coming.

⁵ Counsel in the heart of man is deep water, and a man of understanding draweth it out.

¹⁰ By pride there only cometh contention; but with the well-advised is wisdom.

²² Without counsel purposes are disappointed; but in the multitude of counsellors they are established.
