¹ You shall not make forbidden idols for yourselves, nor set up carvings and monuments for yourselves, nor put a stone picture in your land to bow yourself down before it, for I, Yahweh, am your Elohim. ² Instead My sabbaths shall you observe, and My sanctuary shall you fear:I am Yahweh. ³ If you walk by My statutes and observe My instructions and keep them, ⁴ then I will give your downpours in their season, and the land will give its crop, and the tree of the field shall give its fruit. ⁵ Your threshing will overtake the vintage, and the vintage, it shall overtake the sowing; you will eat your bread to satisfaction and dwell in trust in your land. ⁶ I will give peace in the land, and you will lie down with no one making you tremble; I will eradicate the vicious animal from the land, and no sword shall pass through your land. ⁷ You will pursue your enemies, and they will fall before you by the sword;" ⁸ five of you will pursue a hundred, and a hundred of you shall pursue a myriad, and your enemies will fall before you by the sword. ⁹ I will countenance you, make you fruitful, increase you and confirm My covenant with you. ¹⁰ You will eat stored stores and bring forth the stores in view of the new. ¹¹ I will put My tabernacle in your midst, and My soul shall not loathe you. ¹² I will walk about in your midst and will be your Elohim and you, you shall be My people. ¹³ I, Yahweh, am your Elohim Who brought you forth from the land of Egypt, from being servants to them. I have broken the slider bars of your yoke and enabled you to walk upraised. ¹⁴ Yet if you neither hearken to Me nor observe all these instructions, ¹⁵ and if you reject My statutes, and if your soul loathes My judgments so as not to observe all My instructions, to cause you to annul My covenant, ¹⁶ indeed, I Myself shall do this to you:I will visit panic upon you, attenuation and fever, making the eyesight vanish and causing the soul to pine; and you will sow your seed for naught, for your enemies will eat it. ¹⁷ I will set My face against you, and you will be struck down before your enemies; those hating you will hold sway over you, and you will flee even when there is no one pursuing you. ¹⁸ And if, after these things, you should not hearken to Me, then I will continue to discipline you sevenfold for your sins. ¹⁹ I will break the pomp of your strength and make your heavens like iron and your land like copper. ²⁰ Your vigor will be spent for naught, and your land shall not give its crop, and the tree of the field shall not give its fruit. ²¹ If you go contrary to Me and are not willing to hearken to Me, then I will add smitings to you sevenfold according to your sins. ²² I will send the animal of the field against you, and it will bereave you, cut off your domestic beasts and so decrease you that your roads will be desolated. ²³ If by these you should not be disciplined for Me and go contrary to Me, ²⁴ then I will, indeed, go contrary to you, and I Myself will even smite you sevenfold for your sins. ²⁵ I will bring the sword on you avenging the vengeance of the covenant. When you will be gathered into your cities then I will send the plague into your midst, and you will be given into the hand of the enemy. ²⁶ When I break the stock of bread for you then ten women will bake your bread in one stove and return your bread by weight so that you will eat and not be satisfied. ²⁷ If by this you should not hearken to Me and go contrary to Me, ²⁸ then I will go contrary to you in fury. And I Myself, indeed, will discipline you sevenfold for your sins. ²⁹ You will eat the flesh of your sons, and the flesh of your daughters shall you eat. ³⁰ I will exterminate your fane heights, cut down your incense stands and bestow your corpses upon the corpses of your idol clods; thus My soul will loathe you. ³¹ I will turn your cities into a desert and make your sanctuary desolate; I shall not smell your fragrant odor. ³² I will make the land so desolate, that your enemies, the ones dwelling in it, will be dejected over it. ³³ And you I shall winnow among the nations, and I will unsheathe a sword after you so that your land will become a desolation and your cities become a desert. ³⁴ Then the land shall accept its sabbaths all the days of its desolation when you are in the land of your enemies. Then the land shall pause for a sabbath and cause its missing sabbaths to be accepted. ³⁵ All the days of its desolation it shall pause for a sabbath, which days it did not pause in your sabbath years when you dwelt on it. ³⁶ As for the remainder among you, I will also bring timidity into their heart in the lands of their enemies so that the sound of a leaf being whisked away will pursue them, and they will flee as if in flight from the sword; they will fall even when there is no one pursuing. ³⁷ They will stumble, a man over his brother, as though in view of the sword when there is no pursuer, and you shall come to have no standing space before your enemies. ³⁸ You will perish among the nations, and the land of your enemies will devour you. ³⁹ The remainder among you shall be putrid over their depravity in the lands of your enemies, and also over the depravities of their fathers with them shall they be putrid. ⁴⁰ If they will confess their depravity and the depravity of their fathers in their offense (when they had offended Me and, indeed, when they had gone contrary to M. ⁴¹ so that I Myself also went contrary to them and brought them into the land of their enemies), if then their uncircumcised heart should submit, and if then they should accept their depravity, ⁴² then I will remember My covenant with Jacob and also My covenant with Isaac; also My covenant with Abraham shall I remember, and the land shall I remember. ⁴³ Yet the land, it shall be forsaken of them and shall accept its sabbath years while it is desolate without them, and they themselves shall accept their depravity because, yes because they had rejected My judgments and their soul had loathed My statutes. ⁴⁴ Yet in spite of this, when they are in the land of their enemies I will not reject them nor loathe them so as to finish them, to annul My covenant with them, for I, Yahweh, am their Elohim. ⁴⁵ For their benefit I will remember the covenant with the former ones whom I brought forth from the land of Egypt before the eyes of the nations to be their Elohim; I am Yahweh. ⁴⁶ These are the statutes, the judgments and the laws which Yahweh put between Him and the sons of Israel on Mount Sinai by means of Moses.

⁴⁷ Inasmuch as you would not serve Yahweh your Elohim with rejoicing and with goodness of heart over the abundance of everything, ⁴⁸ then you will serve your enemies whom Yahweh shall send forth against you, in famine and in thirst, in nakedness and in lack of everything. He will put an iron yoke on your neck until He has exterminated you.

⁷³ Your hands, they have made me and are establishing me; Give me understanding so I may learn Your instructions."

¹⁵ He who justifies the wicked person and he who condemns the righteous man, Even both of them are an abhorrence to Yahweh."

¹ Now, perceiving the throngs, He ascended into the mountain. And, at His being seated, His disciples came to Him. ² And opening His mouth, He taught them, saying, ³ "Happy, in spirit, are the poor, for theirs is the kingdom of the heavens. ⁴ "Happy are those who mourn now, for they shall be consoled. ⁵ "Happy are the meek, for they shall be enjoying the allotment of the land. ⁶ "Happy are those who are hungering and thirsting for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied. ⁷ "Happy are the merciful, for they shall be shown mercy. ⁸ "Happy are the clean in heart, for they shall see God. ⁹ "Happy are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God. ¹⁰ "Happy are those persecuted on account of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of the heavens. ¹¹ "Happy are you whenever they should be reproaching and persecuting you and, falsifying, saying every wicked thing against you, on my account. ¹² Rejoice and exult, for your wages are vast in the heavens. For thus they persecute the prophets before you. ¹³ You are the salt of the earth. Now, if the salt should be made insipid, with what will it be salted? For nothing does it still avail except to be cast outside, to be trampled by men. ¹⁴ You are the light of the world. A city located upon a mountain can not be hid. ¹⁵ Neither are they burning a lamp and placing it under a peck measure, but on a lampstand, and it is shining to all those in the house. ¹⁶ Thus let shine your light in front of men, so that they may perceive your ideal acts and should glorify your Father Who is in the heavens. ¹⁷ You should not infer that I came to demolish the law or the prophets. I came not to demolish, but to fulfill. ¹⁸ For verily, I am saying to you, Till heaven and earth should be passing by, one iota or one serif may by no means be passing by from the law till all should be occurring. ¹⁹ Whosoever, then, should be annulling one of the least of these precepts, and should be teaching men thus, the least in the kingdom of the heavens shall he be called. Yet whoever should be doing and teaching them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of the heavens. ²⁰ For I am saying to you that, if ever your righteousness should not be superabounding more than that of the scribes and Pharisees, by no means may you be entering into the kingdom of the heavens. ²¹ You hear that it was declared to the ancients, 'You shall not murder.' Yet whoever should be murdering shall be liable to the judging ²² Yet I am saying to you that everyone who is angry with his brother shall be liable to the judging. Yet whoever may be saying to his brother, 'Raka!' shall be liable to the Sanhedrin. Yet whoever may be saying, 'Stupid!' shall be liable to the Gehenna of fire. ²³ If, then, you should be offering your approach present on the altar, and there you should be reminded that your brother has anything against you, ²⁴ leave your approach present there, in front of the altar, and go away. First be placated toward your brother, and then, coming, be offering your approach present. ²⁵ You be humoring your plaintiff quickly while you are with him on the way, lest at some time the plaintiff may be giving you up to the judge, and the judge to the deputy, and you should be cast into jail. ²⁶ Verily I am saying to you, By no means may you be coming out thence till you should be paying the last quadrans. ²⁷ "You hear that it was declared, 'You shall not be committing adultery. ²⁸ Yet I am saying to you that every man looking at a woman to lust for her already commits adultery with her in his heart. ²⁹ Now, if your right eye is snaring you, wrench it out and cast it from you, for it is expedient for you that one of your members should perish and not your whole body be cast into Gehenna. ³⁰ And if your right hand is snaring you, strike it off and cast it from you, for it is expedient for you that one of your members should perish and not your whole body pass away into Gehenna." ³¹ "Now it was declared, Whoever should be dismissing his wife, let him be giving her a divorce. ³² Yet I am saying to you that everyone dismissing his wife (outside of a case of prostitution) is making her commit adultery, and whosoever should be marrying her who has been dismissed is committing adultery. ³³ "Again, you hear that it was declared to the ancients, You shall not be perjuring, yet you shall be paying to the Lord your oaths. ³⁴ Yet I am saying to you absolutely not to swear, neither by heaven, for it is the throne of God, ³⁵ nor by the earth, for it is a footstool for His feet; nor by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the great King; ³⁶ nor by your head should you be swearing, for you are not able to make one hair white or black. ³⁷ Yet let your word be 'Yes, Yes,' 'No, No.' Now what is in excess of these is of the wicked one. ³⁸ "You hear that it was declared, ' An eye for an eye,' and 'A tooth for a tooth.' ³⁹ Yet I am saying to you not to withstand a wicked person, but anyone who slaps you on your right cheek, turn to him the other also. ⁴⁰ And he who wants to sue you and obtain your tunic, leave him your cloak also. ⁴¹ And anyone who conscripts you one mile, go with him two. ⁴² To him who requests you, give; and from him who wants to borrow from you, you may not turn. ⁴³ "You hear that it was declared, 'You shall be loving your associate' and you shall be hating your enemy. ⁴⁴ Yet I am saying to you, Love your enemies, and pray for those who are persecuting you, ⁴⁵ so that you may become sons of your Father Who is in the heavens, for He causes His sun to rise on the wicked and the good, and makes it rain on the just and the unjust. ⁴⁶ For if ever you should love those who are loving you, what wages have you? Are not the tribute collectors also doing the same? ⁴⁷ And if ever you should greet your brothers only, what are you doing that is excessive? Are not those of the nations also doing the same? ⁴⁸ You, then, shall be perfect as your heavenly Father is perfect.

¹⁵ If you should be loving Me, you will be keeping My precepts."

⁸ In everything, being afflicted, but not distressed; perplexed, but not despairing;"

⁴ For it is God's servant for your good. Now if you should be doing evil, fear, for not feignedly is it wearing the sword. For it is God's servant, an avenger for indignation to him who is committing evil."

⁸ Now if anyone is not providing for his own, and especially his family, he has disowned the faith, and is worse than an unbeliever."

¹⁶ All scripture is inspired by God, and is beneficial for teaching, for exposure, for correction, for discipline in righteousness, ¹⁷ that the man of God may be equipped, fitted out for every good act."

¹⁴⁴ Your testimonies are eonian righteousness; Give me understanding that I may live.

¹⁹ you are not avenging yourselves, beloved, but be giving place to His indignation, for it is written, Mine is vengeance! I will repay! the Lord is saying. "

²⁶ Now the consoler, the holy spirit, which the Father will be sending in My name, that will be teaching you all, and reminding you of all that I said to you."

¹⁶⁹ May my appeal come near before You, O Yahweh; According to Your word, give me understanding."
