⁸ Finally, brothers, as many things as are true, as many as are honorable, as many as are just, as many as are pure, as many as are lovely--if there is any virtue and if there is any praise--meditate on these things.

¹⁸ Flee fornication. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits fornication sins against his own body.

¹⁹ Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are: adultery, fornication, immorality, lewdness, ²⁰ idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, factions, ²¹ envies, murders, drinking bouts, revelries, and the like; which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. ²² But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, ²³ gentleness, self-control--against such things there is no law. ²⁴ And those who are Christ's have crucified the flesh with its passions and lusts. ²⁵ If we live by the Spirit, let us also walk by the Spirit.

⁹ Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites,

¹³ Foods for the stomach and the stomach for foods, but God will destroy both this stomach and these foods. Now the body is not for fornication, but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body.

⁴ Everyone who practices sin also practices lawlessness, and sin is lawlessness. ⁵ And you know that He appeared that He might take away our sins, and in Him there is no sin. ⁶ Everyone who abides in Him does not sin; everyone who sins has not seen Him nor has he known Him. ⁷ Little children, let no one deceive you. The one who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous. ⁸ He who practices sin is of the devil, for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. For this reason the Son of God appeared, that He might destroy the works of the devil. ⁹ No one who has been born of God practices sin, because His seed abides in him; and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God. ¹⁰ By this the children of God and the children of the devil are manifest: Everyone who does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor is he who does not love his brother.

¹⁴ But each one is tempted by his own lusts, being drawn away and being seduced by them. ¹⁵ Then lust, when it conceives, gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, brings forth death.

³⁷ Turn away my eyes that I may not behold vanity; revive me in Your way.

¹³ No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not permit you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation, He will also make the way out, so as for you to be able to bear it.

⁴ Marriage is honorable among all, and the bed undefiled; but fornicators and adulterers God will judge.

¹⁶ Because everything that is in the world--the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life--is not from the Father but is from the world.

¹⁸ Flee fornication. ²⁸ But I say to you, that whoever looks at a woman in order to lust after her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.
