Bible verses about "manhood" | CAB

Genesis 1:27

27 And God made man, according to the image of God He made him, male and female He made them.

Psalms 1:1-6

1 Blessed is the man who has not walked in the counsel of the ungodly, and has not stood in the way of sinners, and has not sat in the seat of evil men. 2 But his pleasure is in the law of the Lord; and in His law will he meditate day and night. 3 And he shall be as a tree planted by the brooks of waters, which shall yield its fruit in its season, and its leaf shall not fall off; and whatsoever he shall do shall prosper. 4 Not so for the ungodly — not so; but rather as the chaff which the wind scatters away from the face of the earth. 5 Therefore the ungodly shall not rise in the judgment, nor sinners in the counsel of the just. 6 For the Lord knows the way of the righteous; but the way of the ungodly shall perish.

Proverbs 16:9

9 (16:5C) All of the works of the Lord are done with righteousness, and the ungodly man is kept for the evil day.

Micah 6:8

8 Has it not been told you, O man, what is good? Or what does the Lord require of you, but to do justice, and love mercy, and be ready to walk with the Lord your God?

1 Corinthians 13:11

11 When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I thought as a child, I reasoned as a child; but when I became a man, I put away the things of the child.

Ephesians 5:1-33

1 Therefore be imitators of God as beloved children. 2 And walk in love, just as Christ also loved us and gave Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a fragrant aroma. 3 But fornication and all uncleanness or covetousness, let it not even be named among you, as is fitting for saints; 4 neither wickedness, nor foolish talk or coarse jesting, which are not proper, but rather thanksgiving. 5 For this you know, that no fornicator, or unclean person, nor covetous person, who is an idolater, has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God. 6 Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience. 7 Therefore do not be participants with them. 8 For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light-- 9 for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness, righteousness, and truth, 10 proving what is well-pleasing to the Lord. 11 And have no partnership with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them. 12 For it is shameful even to speak of those things being done by them in secret. 13 But all things that are exposed are made manifest by the light, for whatever makes manifest is light. 14 Therefore He says: "Awake, you who are sleeping, and arise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you." 15 See then that you walk carefully, not as unwise, but as wise, 16 redeeming the time, because the days are evil. 17 Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is. 18 And do not get drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit, 19 speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord, 20 giving thanks always concerning all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, 21 subjecting yourselves to one another in the fear of God. 22 Wives, subject yourselves to your own husbands, as to the Lord, 23 because the husband is head of the wife, as also Christ is head of the church; and He is the Savior of the body. 24 But just as the church is subject to Christ, so also the wives be to their own husbands in everything. 25 Husbands, love your own wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her, 26 in order that He might sanctify her, cleansing her by the washing of water by the word, 27 that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and blameless. 28 So husbands ought to love their own wives as their own bodies; he that loves his own wife loves himself. 29 For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as also the Lord does the church. 30 For we are members of His body, of His flesh and of His bones. 31 "For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh." 32 This is a great mystery, but I speak in reference to Christ and to the church. 33 Nevertheless you also individually, let each one love his own wife as himself, and let the wife see that she respect her husband.

Ephesians 5:25

25 Husbands, love your own wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her,

Ephesians 5:21

21 subjecting yourselves to one another in the fear of God.

2 Timothy 2:15

15 Be diligent to show yourself approved unto God, a worker unashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

1 Timothy 5:8

8 But if anyone does not provide for his own, and especially for those of his own house, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.

1 Kings 2:2-4

2 but be strong, and show yourself a man; 3 and keep the charge of the Lord your God, to walk in His ways, to keep the commandments and the ordinances and the judgments which are written in the Law of Moses; that you may understand what you shall do in all things that I command you: 4 that the Lord may confirm His word which He spoke, saying, If your children shall take heed to their way to walk before Me in truth with all their heart, I promise you, saying, there shall not fail you a man on the throne of Israel.

1 Peter 3:7

7 Husbands, likewise, live together according to knowledge as with a weaker vessel, with the wife, showing her honor as also a fellow heir of the grace of life, in order that your prayers may not be hindered.

1 Corinthians 16:13-14

13 Watch, stand fast in the faith, be courageous, be strong. 14 Let all that you do be done in love.
