¹ A Psalm of David. The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want. ² In a place of green grass, there He has made me dwell; He has nourished me by the water of rest. ³ He has restored my soul; He has guided me into the paths of righteousness, for His name's sake. ⁴ Yea, though I walk in the midst of the shadow of death, I shall fear no evil; for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. ⁵ You have prepared a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You have anointed my head with oil; and Your cup cheers me like the best wine. ⁶ Your mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

¹³ let us seize on his valuable property, and let us fill our houses with spoils:

⁴⁷ And that servant who knew his master's will, and did not get ready or do according to his will, shall be beaten with many blows. ⁴⁸ But he who did not know, yet did things worthy of blows, shall be beaten with few. For everyone to whom much is given, from him much will be demanded; and to whom much has been entrusted, of him they will ask much more.

²³ For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, 'Be taken up and cast into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that the things which he says are coming to pass, what ever he says shall be his. ²⁴ For this reason I say to you, all things whatsoever you ask for in prayer, believe that you will receive them, and they will be yours.

²⁸ Let him who stole steal no longer, but rather let him labor, working that which is good with his hands, in order that he may have something to share with him who has need.

³³ I have desired the silver or gold or clothes of no one. ³⁴ You yourselves know that these hands rendered service to my needs, and those who were with me. ³⁵ By all things I have shown you, that thus laboring it is necessary to help those being weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He said, 'It is more blessed to give than to receive.' "

²⁴ "No one is able to serve two masters; for either he will hate the one, and he will love the other, or else he will be devoted to the one, and he will despise the other. You cannot serve God and money.

⁵ Therefore put to death your members on the earth: fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and greed, which is idolatry.

³⁵ By all things I have shown you, that thus laboring it is necessary to help those being weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He said, 'It is more blessed to give than to receive.' "

¹⁵ Do not love the world nor the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

¹⁵ And He said to them, "Take heed and beware of covetousness, for one's life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions."

¹⁹ These are the ways of all that perform lawless deeds; for by ungodliness they destroy their own life.

¹² All things are lawful for me, but all things are not profitable. All things are lawful for me, but I will not be mastered by anything.

¹⁵ Do not love the world nor the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. ¹⁶ Because everything that is in the world--the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life--is not from the Father but is from the world. ¹⁷ And the world is passing away, and its lust; but he who does the will of God abides forever.

¹⁰ For the love of money is a root of all evils, of which some by aspiring have strayed away from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

⁵ Let your way of life be without loving money, being satisfied with what you have. For He Himself has said, "By no means shall I desert you, nor in any way shall I forsake you;"

¹¹ Wealth gotten hastily with iniquity is diminished, but he that gathers for himself with godliness shall be increased. The righteous man is merciful, and lends.
