^{1 (6:2)} And it came to pass when men began to be numerous upon the earth, and daughters were born to them, ^{2 (6:3)} that the sons of God, having seen the daughters of men, that they were beautiful, took to themselves wives of all whom they chose. ^{3 (6:4)} And the Lord God said, My Spirit shall certainly not remain among these men forever, because they are flesh, but their days shall be one hundred and twenty years. ^{4 (6:5)} Now the giants were upon the earth in those days; and after that when the sons of God came in to the daughters of men, they bore children to them, those were the giants of old, the men of renown. ^{5 (6:6)} And the Lord God, having seen that the wicked actions of men were multiplied upon the earth, and that everyone in his heart was intently brooding over evil continually, ^{6 (6:7)} that God took it to heart that He had made man upon the earth, and He pondered it deeply. ^{7 (6:8)} And God said, I will blot out man whom I have made from the face of the earth, even man and beast, and reptiles with flying creatures of the sky, for I am grieved that I have made them. ^{8 (6:9)} But Noah found grace before the Lord God. ^{9 (6:10)} And these are the generations of Noah. Noah was a just man; being perfect in his generation; Noah was well pleasing to God. ^{10 (6:11)} And Noah begot three sons: Shem, Ham, and Japheth. ^{11 (6:12)} But the earth was corrupted before God, and the earth was filled with iniquity. ^{12 (6:13)} And the Lord God saw the earth, that it was corrupted; because all flesh had corrupted its way upon the earth. ^{13 (6:14)} And the Lord God said to Noah, The end of all flesh has come before Me; because the earth has been filled with iniquity by them, and behold, I shall destroy them and the earth. ^{14 (6:15)} Therefore make for yourself an ark of square timber; you shall make the ark in compartments, and you shall pitch it within and without with pitch. ^{15 (6:16)} And thus shall you make the ark; three hundred cubits the length of the ark, and fifty cubits the breadth, and thirty cubits the height of it. ^{16 (6:17)} You shall narrow the ark in making it, and in a cubit above you shall finish it, and the door of the ark you shall make on the side; with lower, second, and third stories you shall make it. ^{17 (6:18)} And behold, I shall bring a flood of water upon the earth, to destroy all flesh in which is the breath of life under heaven, and whatsoever things are upon the earth shall die. ^{18 (6:19)} And I will establish My covenant with you, and you shall enter into the ark, and your sons and your wife, and your sons' wives with you. ^{19 (6:20)} And of all cattle and of all reptiles and of all wild beasts, even of all flesh, you shall bring by pairs of all, into the ark, that you may feed them with yourself: male and female they shall be. ^{20 (6:21)} Of all winged birds after their kind, and of all cattle after their kind, and of all reptiles creeping upon the earth after their kind, pairs of all shall come in to you, male and female, to be fed with you. ^{21 (6:22)} And you shall take to yourself of all kinds of food which you eat, and you shall gather them to yourself, and it shall be for you and them to eat. ^{22 (6:23)} And Noah did everything that the Lord God commanded him.

²⁶ And God said, Let Us make man according to Our image and likeness, and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the flying creatures of heaven, and over the cattle and all the earth, and over all the reptiles that creep on the earth.

⁶ And Ezra said, You are the only true Lord; You have made the heaven, and the heaven of heavens, with all their host, the earth, and everything in it, the seas, and everything in them; and You give life to all things, and the hosts of heaven worship You.

⁶ The heavens have declared His righteousness, and all the people have seen His glory.

⁸ Who are these that fly as clouds, and as doves with young ones to Me?

⁷ And their legs were straight; and their feet were winged, and there were sparks, like gleaming brass, and their wings were light.

³⁵ And having quieted the crowd, the city clerk said: "Men of Ephesus, for what man is there who does not know that the city of the Ephesians is the temple keeper of the great goddess Artemis, and of the image fallen from heaven?

¹² For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual forces of evil in the heavenlies.

¹⁶ because by Him all things were created, those in the heavens and those on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through Him and for Him.

¹³ These all died according to faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off and welcoming them, and confessing that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.

¹² I have made the earth, and man upon it; with My hand I have established the heavens; I have given commandment to all the stars.

⁷ And the appearances of the locusts was similar to horses having been prepared for battle, and on their heads were like crowns of gold, and their faces were like the faces of men. ⁸ They had hair like women's hair, and their teeth were like the teeth of lions. ⁹ And they had breastplates like breastplates of iron, and the sound of their wings was as the sound of chariots with many horses rushing into battle. ¹⁰ And they had tails like scorpions, and stings. And in their tails they have power to harm men five months, ¹¹ having as a king over them the angel of the bottomless pit; whose name in Hebrew is Abaddon, but in Greek he has the name Apollyon.

⁵ to come from a land afar off, from the utmost foundation of heaven; the Lord and His warriors are coming to destroy all the world.

⁴ And I looked, and behold, a sweeping wind came from the north, and a great cloud on it, and there was brightness round about it, and gleaming fire, and in the midst of it as it were the appearance of amber in the midst of the fire, and brightness in it.

¹ Now it came to pass in the thirtieth year, in the fourth month, on the fifth day of the month, that I was in the midst of the captivity by the River Chebar; and the heavens were opened, and I saw visions of God. ² On the fifth day of the month; this was the fifth year of the captivity of King Jehoiachin. ³ And the word of the Lord came to Ezekiel the priest, the son of Buzi, in the land of the Chaldeans, by the River Chebar; and the hand of the Lord was upon me. ⁴ And I looked, and behold, a sweeping wind came from the north, and a great cloud on it, and there was brightness round about it, and gleaming fire, and in the midst of it as it were the appearance of amber in the midst of the fire, and brightness in it. ⁵ And in the midst as it were the likeness of four living creatures. And this was their appearance: the likeness of a man was upon them. ⁶ And each one had four faces, and each one had four wings. ⁷ And their legs were straight; and their feet were winged, and there were sparks, like gleaming brass, and their wings were light. ⁸ And the hand of a man was under their wings on their four sides. ⁹ And their faces turned not when they went; but each one went straight forward. ¹⁰ And the likeness of their faces was the face of a man, and the face of a lion on the right of the four; and the face of a calf on the left of the four; and the face of an eagle to the four. ¹¹ And the four had their wings spread out above; each one had two joined to one another, and two covered their bodies. ¹² And each one went straight forward: wherever the spirit was going they went, and turned not back. ¹³ And in the midst of the living creatures there was an appearance as of burning coals of fire, as an appearance of lamps turning among the living creatures; and the brightness of fire, and out of the fire came forth lightning. ¹⁴ (TEXT OMITTED) ¹⁵ And I looked, and behold, the four each had one wheel on the ground near the living creatures. ¹⁶ And the appearance of the wheels was as the appearance of beryl: and the four had one likeness; and their work was as it were a wheel in a wheel. ¹⁷ They went on their four sides; they turned not as they went; ¹⁸ neither did their backs turn. And they were high. And I beheld them, and the backs of the four were full of eyes round about. ¹⁹ And when the living creatures went, the wheels went by them: and when the living creatures lifted themselves off the earth, the wheels were lifted off. ²⁰ Wherever the cloud happened to be, there was the spirit ready to go. The wheels went and were lifted up with them; because the spirit of life was in the wheels. ²¹ When those went, the wheels went; and when those stood, the wheels stood; and when those lifted themselves off the earth, they were lifted off with them, for the spirit of life was in the wheels. ²² And the likeness over the heads of the living creatures was as a firmament, as the appearance of crystal, spread out over their wings above. ²³ And their wings were spread out under the firmament, reaching one to the other; two wings to each, covering their bodies. ²⁴ And I heard the sound of their wings when they went, as the sound of much water: and when they stood, their wings were let down. ²⁵ And lo! A voice from above the firmament ²⁶ that was over their head, there was as the appearance of a sapphire stone, and the likeness of a throne upon it. And upon the likeness of the throne was the likeness as an appearance of a man above. ²⁷ And I saw as it were the resemblance of amber from the appearance of the loins and upwards, and from the appearance of the loins and under I saw an appearance of fire, and the brightness thereof round about. ²⁸ As the appearance of the rainbow when it is in the cloud in days of rain, so was the form of brightness round about.
