²¹ You have heard that it was said to the ancients: You shall not kill; and whoever shall kill, shall be liable to the sentence of the judges. ²² But I say to you, Whoever is angry with his brother without a cause, shall be liable to the sentence of the judges. And whoever shall say to his brother, Worthless fellow, shall be liable to the sentence of the Sanhedrin. But who ever shall say, Impious wretch, shall be in danger of hell-fire.

¹ Beloved, believe not every spirit; but prove the spirits, whether they are from God: for many false prophets have gone out into the world.

¹⁴ What profit is there, my brethren, if any one say he has faith, and have not works?
