²⁸ even as the Son of man came, not to be ministered to, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.

²⁵ But Jesus called them to him, and said: You know that the rulers of the Gentiles act as lords over them, and their great men have authority over them. ²⁶ It shall not be so among you. But whoever will be great among you, let him be your minister. ²⁷ And whoever will be first among you, let him be your servant; ²⁸ even as the Son of man came, not to be ministered to, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.

¹ At that hour the disciples came to Jesus, and said: Who then is greatest in the kingdom of heaven? ² And Jesus called a little child to him, and placed him in the midst of them, ³ and said: Verily I say to you, Unless you turn and become as little children, you can not enter the kingdom of heaven. ⁴ Whoever, therefore, humbles himself as this little child, is greatest in the kingdom of heaven. ⁵ And whoever receives one such little child on my account, receives me;

¹⁰ And be not called leaders; for one is your leader, the Christ. ¹¹ And the greatest among you shall be your minister. ¹² Whoever exalts himself shall be humbled; and whoever humbles himself shall be exalted.

²⁸ For I say to you, Among those born of women, there is no prophet greater than John the Immerser. But the least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.

²⁸ And we know that all things work together for good, to those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose.

¹ Though I speak with the tongues of men and of an gels, but have not love, I have become as sounding brass, or a clanging cymbal. ² And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not love, I am nothing. ³ And though I give all my goods to feed the poor, and though I deliver up my body to be burned, and have not love, I am profited nothing. ⁴ Love suffers long, and is kind; love envies not; love boasts not; is not vain, ⁵ does nothing unbecoming, seeks not her own, is not easily provoked, thinks no evil, ⁶ rejoices not in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; ⁷ bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. ⁸ Love never fails; but whether there be gifts of prophecy, they shall have an end; or tongues, they shall cease; or knowledge, it shall have an end. ⁹ For we know in part, and we prophesy in part; ¹⁰ but when that which is perfect has come, then that which is in part shall have an end. ¹¹ When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I had the mind of a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things. ¹² Now we see through a mirror, obscurely; but then, face to face; now I know in part, but then shall I know, even as I am known. ¹³ And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the great est of these is love.

²⁰ I have been crucified with Christ, yet I live; no longer I, but Christ lives in me. And the life which I now live in the flesh, I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

¹⁵ For he shall be great before the Lord; and he shall drink neither wine nor strong drink; and he shall be filled with the Holy Spirit even from his mother's womb.

² And be not conformed to this age, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may learn what the will of God is the good, and the acceptable, and the perfect.

¹³ I am able to do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
