2 Peter 1:21

21 for the prophecy came not at any time by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.

John 6:50-71

50 This is the bread which comes down from heaven, that any one may eat of it, and not die. 51 I am the bread that lives, which came down from heaven. If any one eat of this bread, he shall live forever. And the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world. 52 The Jews, therefore, contended among themselves, saying: How can this man give us his flesh to eat? 53 Then Jesus said to them: Verily, verily I say to you, Unless you eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, you have no life in you. 54 He that eats my flesh and drinks my blood, has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day; 55 for my flesh is food indeed, and my blood is drink indeed. 56 He that eats my flesh and drinks my blood, dwells in me, and I in him. 57 As the living Father has sent me, and I live by the Father, so he that eats me, even he shall live by me. 58 This is the bread that came down from heaven; not as your fathers ate the manna, and died; he that eats this bread shall live forever. 59 These things he spoke in the synagogue, as he taught in Capernaum. 60 Therefore, many of his disciples, when they heard him, said: This is a hard saying; who can hear it? 61 But Jesus, knowing in himself that his disciples murmured at it, said to them: Does this offend you? 62 Then, what if you should see the Son of man go up where he was before? 63 It is the spirit that makes alive; the flesh profits nothing; the words that I speak to you are spirit and life. 64 But there are some among you who believe not. For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were that believed not, and who he was that would betray him. 65 And he said: For this reason I said to you: No one can come to me unless it be given him from my Father. 66 After this, many of his disciples went back, and walked with him no more. 67 Then Jesus said to the twelve: Will you also go away? 68 Simon Peter answered him: Lord, to whom shall we go? Thou hast the words of eternal life; 69 and we believe, and know that thou art the Christ, the Son of God. 70 Jesus answered them: Have I not chosen you twelve, and one of you is a devil? 71 He spoke of Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon; for he was about to deliver him up, being one of the twelve.

2 Corinthians 1:8-9

8 For we do not wish you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning our affliction which came upon us in Asia, that we were exceedingly oppressed, beyond our strength, so that we despaired even of life. 9 But we have in ourselves the sentence of death, that we may not trust in ourselves, but in God, who raises the dead;

John 6:47-50

47 Verily, verily I say to you, He that believes on me has eternal life. 48 I am the bread of life. 49 Your fathers ate the manna in the wilderness, and died. 50 This is the bread which comes down from heaven, that any one may eat of it, and not die.

1 Thessalonians 4:9-12

9 But with respect to brotherly love, you have no need that I write to you: for you yourselves are taught of God to love one another; 10 and indeed you do this to all the brethren that are in all Macedonia. But we exhort you, brethren, that you abound in love more and more, 11 and that you earnestly endeavor to live quietly, and that you attend to your own business, and work with your own hands, as we commanded you; 12 in order that you may walk with propriety toward those who are without, and may have need of nothing.

John 15:5

5 I am the vine, you are the branches. He that abides in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; for apart from me you can do nothing.
