¹⁴ Be not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? What communion has light with darkness?

¹³ who has delivered us from the authority of darkness, and has translated us into the kingdom of his beloved Son,

⁸ Again, a new commandment I do write to you, which is true as it respects him and you; because the darkness is past, and the true light now shines. ⁹ He that says he is in the light, and hates his brother, is in darkness till now. ¹⁰ He that loves his brother abides in the light, and there is in him no cause for offense. ¹¹ He that hates his brother is in darkness, and walks in darkness; and he knows not whither he goes, because darkness has blinded his eyes.

¹¹ and do not participate in the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather even reprove them;

⁸ For you were formerly darkness; but now you are light in the Lord: walk as children of light;

¹² for our conflict is not with flesh and blood, but with the principalities, with the authorities, with the rulers of the darkness of this world, with the wicked spirits in the heavenly regions.

¹² Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying: I am the light of the world; he that follows me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

⁵ You are all sons of light, and sons of day: we are not of night, nor of darkness.

⁷⁹ to give light to those who sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, by guiding our feet in the way of peace.

¹⁹ And this is the condemnation, that light has come into the world, and men have loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. ²⁰ For every one that does evil, hates the light, and comes not to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed. ²¹ But he that does the truth, comes to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest that they are done in God.

¹⁸ in order to open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the authority of Satan to God, that they may receive remission of sins, and an inheritance among the sanctified, by faith in me.

¹⁰ But if any one walks in the night, he stumbles, be cause there is no light in him.

⁵ And this is the message that we heard from him, and do declare to you: that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. ⁶ If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth. ⁷ But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanses us from all sin.

⁵ And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness comprehends it not.
