³⁸ And Peter said to them: Repent, and be immersed, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ, in order to the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

⁶ Jesus said to him: I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but through me.

⁹ But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a purchased people, that you should show forth the virtues of him who has called you out of darkness into his wonderful light:

¹⁰ But may the God of all grace, who has called us to his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, make you perfect, establish, strengthen, confirm you.

⁷ for God has not called us for uncleanness, but for holiness.

¹⁶ You have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and appointed you, that you may go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit may remain; that whatever you ask of the Father in my name, he may give you.

²⁶ For you see your calling, brethren, that not many wise men according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble call you; ²⁷ but God has chosen the foolish things of the world, that he may bring to shame the wise; and the weak things of the world has God chosen, that he may put to shame the strong;

¹ I therefore, the prisoner in the Lord, exhort you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling with which you have been called;

⁴ There is one body and one Spirit, even as you have been called in one hope of your calling;

¹¹ In order to which, we also pray always for you, that our God may count you worthy of this calling, and may fulfill all the good pleasure of his goodness, and the work of faith with power, ¹² that the name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in you, and you in him, according to the grace of our God, and the Lord Jesus Christ.

⁴ For as we have many members in one body, and all the members have not the same office,

²⁹ for God's gifts and calling are irrevocable.

¹⁰ Wherefore, brethren, give the greater diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if you do these things, you will never fall.

¹ I therefore, the prisoner in the Lord, exhort you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling with which you have been called; ² with all lowliness and meekness, with long-suffering, bearing with one another in love, ³ earnestly endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
