⁵⁵ for my flesh is food indeed, and my blood is drink indeed. ⁵⁶ He that eats my flesh and drinks my blood, dwells in me, and I in him. ⁵⁷ As the living Father has sent me, and I live by the Father, so he that eats me, even he shall live by me. ⁵⁸ This is the bread that came down from heaven; not as your fathers ate the manna, and died; he that eats this bread shall live forever. ⁵⁹ These things he spoke in the synagogue, as he taught in Capernaum. ⁶⁰ Therefore, many of his disciples, when they heard him, said: This is a hard saying; who can hear it? ⁶¹ But Jesus, knowing in himself that his disciples murmured at it, said to them: Does this offend you? ⁶² Then, what if you should see the Son of man go up where he was before? ⁶³ It is the spirit that makes alive; the flesh profits nothing; the words that I speak to you are spirit and life. ⁶⁴ But there are some among you who believe not. For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were that believed not, and who he was that would betray him.

⁶ Be anxious about nothing, but in every thing, by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God: ⁷ and the peace of God, which passes all understanding, will keep your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

¹⁴ And this is the confidence that we have toward him, that if we ask any thing according to his will, he hears us.

²⁸ Wherefore, as we receive a kingdom that can not be shaken, let us have gratitude, by which we may serve God acceptably, with reverence and godly fear:

¹² for which cause I also suffer these things; yet I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and I am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have intrusted to him till that day.

¹⁶ The Spirit itself testifies with our spirit, that we are the children of God;

¹⁸ My little children, let us not love in word, nor in tongue, but in deed, and in truth. ¹⁹ And by this we know that we are of the truth; and we shall have our hearts at rest before him: ²⁰ for if our heart condemn us, we know that God is greater than our heart, and knows all things. ²¹ Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, we have confidence to ward God, ²² and whatever we ask, we receive from him, because we keep his commandments, and do the things that are pleasing in his sight.

¹³ I have written these things to you that believe on the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may believe on the name of the Son of God.

³⁶ He that believes on the Son has eternal life. But he that believes not the Son, shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him.

¹² Blessed is the man that endures trial: for, being approved, he shall receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love him.

¹¹ and many false prophets will arise, and deceive many; ¹² and because iniquity abounds, the love of many will grow cold. ¹³ But he that endures to the end, shall be saved.
