²⁹ You hide your face, they are troubled: you take away their breath, they die, and return to their dust. ³⁰ You send forth your spirit, they are created: and you renew the face of the earth.

²² Cease you from man, whose breath is in his nostrils: for wherein is he to be accounted of ?

⁷ The grass wither, the flower fades: because the spirit of the LORD blows on it: surely the people is grass.

¹⁴ If he set his heart on man, if he gather to himself his spirit and his breath; ¹⁵ All flesh shall perish together, and man shall turn again to dust.

⁶ Let every thing that has breath praise the LORD. Praise you the LORD.

⁵ Thus said God the LORD, he that created the heavens, and stretched them out; he that spread forth the earth, and that which comes out of it; he that gives breath to the people on it, and spirit to them that walk therein:

⁹ Then said he to me, Prophesy to the wind, prophesy, son of man, and say to the wind, Thus said the Lord GOD; Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe on these slain, that they may live.

²² And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and said to them, Receive you the Holy Ghost:

¹⁶ All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

³ All the while my breath is in me, and the spirit of God is in my nostrils;

⁷ And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

⁴ The spirit of God has made me, and the breath of the Almighty has given me life.
