  13 H518 ואם But if H3808 לא ye cannot H3201 תוכלו ye cannot H5046 להגיד declare H5414 לי ונתתם give H859 אתם me, then shall ye H7970 לי שׁלשׁים me thirty H5466 סדינים sheets H7970 ושׁלשׁים and thirty H2487 חליפות change H899 בגדים of garments. H559 ויאמרו And they said H2330 לו חודה unto him, Put forth H2420 חידתך thy riddle, H8085 ונשׁמענה׃ that we may hear

  14 H559 ויאמר And he said H398 להם מהאכל   H3318 יצא came forth H3978 מאכל meat, H5794 ומעז and out of the strong H3318 יצא came forth H4966 מתוק sweetness. H3808 ולא not H3201 יכלו And they could H5046 להגיד expound H2420 החידה the riddle. H7969 שׁלשׁת in three H3117 ימים׃ days

  17 H1058 ותבך And she wept H5921 עליו before H7651 שׁבעת him the seven H3117 הימים days, H834 אשׁר while H1961 היה lasted: H4960 להם המשׁתה their feast H1961 ויהי and it came to pass H3117 ביום day, H7637 השׁביעי on the seventh H5046 ויגד that he told H3588 לה כי her, because H6693 הציקתהו she lay sore H5046 ותגד upon him: and she told H2420 החידה the riddle H1121 לבני to the children H5971 עמה׃ of her people.

  1 H4436 ומלכת And when the queen H7614 שׁבא of Sheba H8085 שׁמעה heard H854 את   H8088 שׁמע of the fame H8010 שׁלמה of Solomon, H935 ותבוא she came H5254 לנסות to prove H853 את   H8010 שׁלמה Solomon H2420 בחידות with hard questions H3389 בירושׁלם at Jerusalem, H2428 בחיל company, H3515 כבד great H3966 מאד with a very H1581 וגמלים and camels H5375 נשׂאים that bore H1314 בשׂמים spices, H2091 וזהב and gold H7230 לרב in abundance, H68 ואבן stones: H3368 יקרה and precious H935 ותבוא and when she was come H413 אל to H8010 שׁלמה Solomon, H1696 ותדבר she communed H5973 עמו with H853 את   H3605 כל him of all H834 אשׁר that H1961 היה was H5973 עם in H3824 לבבה׃ her heart.

  4 H5186 אטה I will incline H4912 למשׁל to a parable: H241 אזני mine ear H6605 אפתח I will open H3658 בכנור upon the harp. H2420 חידתי׃ my dark saying

  2 H6605 אפתחה I will open H4912 במשׁל in a parable: H6310 פי my mouth H5042 אביעה I will utter H2420 חידות dark sayings H4480 מני of H6924 קדם׃ old:

  6 H995 להבין To understand H4912 משׁל a proverb, H4426 ומליצה and the interpretation; H1697 דברי the words H2450 חכמים of the wise, H2420 וחידתם׃ and their dark sayings.

  2 H1121 בן Son H120 אדם of man, H2330 חוד put forth H2420 חידה a riddle, H4911 ומשׁל and speak H4912 משׁל a parable H413 אל unto H1004 בית the house H3478 ישׂראל׃ of Israel;

  23 H319 ובאחרית And in the latter time H4438 מלכותם of their kingdom, H8552 כהתם are come to the full, H6586 הפשׁעים when the transgressors H5975 יעמד shall stand up. H4428 מלך a king H5794 עז of fierce H6440 פנים countenance, H995 ומבין and understanding H2420 חידות׃ dark sentences,

  6 H3808 הלוא Shall not H428 אלה these H3605 כלם all H5921 עליו against H4912 משׁל a parable H5375 ישׂאו take up H4426 ומליצה him, and a taunting H2420 חידות proverb H559 לו ויאמר against him, and say, H1945 הוי Woe H7235 המרבה to him that increaseth H3808 לא not H5704 לו עד   H4970 מתי   H3513 ומכביד and to him that ladeth H5921 עליו and to him that ladeth H5671 עבטיט׃ himself with thick clay!
