Isaiah 38 In those days was Hezekiah sick and near death. And Isaiah the prophet the son of Amoz came to him, and said to him, Thus saith the LORD, Set thy house in order: for thou shalt die, and not live.

H3470 And Isaiah H5030 the prophet H1121 the son H531 of Amoz H935 [H8799] came H559 [H8799] to him, and said H559 [H8804] to him, Thus saith H3068 the LORD, H1004 Set thy house H6680 [H8761] in order: H4191 [H8801] for thou shalt die, H2421 [H8799] and not live.

2 H2396 Then Hezekiah H5437 [H8686] turned H6440 his face H7023 toward the wall, H6419 [H8691] and prayed H3068 to the LORD,

3 H559 [H8799] And said, H2142 [H8798] Remember H3068 now, O LORD, H577 I beseech H1980 [H8694] thee, how I have walked H6440 at the face of H571 thee in truth H8003 and with a perfect H3820 heart, H6213 [H8804] and have done H2896 that which is good H5869 in thine eyes. H2396 And Hezekiah H1058 H1065 [H8799] wept H1419 bitterly.

4 H1697 Then came the word H3068 of the LORD H3470 to Isaiah, H559 [H8800] saying,

5 H1980 [H8800] Go, H559 [H8804] and say H2396 to Hezekiah, H559 [H8804] Thus saith H3068 the LORD, H430 the God H1732 of David H1 thy father, H8085 [H8804] I have heard H8605 thy prayer, H7200 [H8804] I have seen H1832 thy tears: H3254 [H8802] behold, I will add H3117 to thy days H2568 H6240 fifteen H8141 years.

6 H5337 [H8686] And I will deliver H5892 thee and this city H3709 from the palm H4428 of the king H804 of Assyria: H1598 [H8804] and I will defend H5892 this city.

7 H226 And this shall be a sign H3068 to thee from the LORD, H3068 that the LORD H6213 [H8799] will do H1697 this thing H1696 [H8765] that he hath spoken;

8 H7725 [H8688] Behold, I will bring again H6738 the shadow H4609 of the degrees, H3381 [H8804] which hath gone down H8121 on the sun H4609 dial H271 of Ahaz, H6235 ten H4609 degrees H322 backward. 9 H4385 The writing H2396 of Hezekiah H4428 king H3063 of Judah, H2470 [H8800] when he had been sick, H2421 [H8799] and had recovered H2483 from his sickness:

10 H559 [H8804] I said H1824 in the cutting off H3117 of my days, H3212 [H8799] I shall go H8179 to the gates H7585 of the grave: H6485 [H8795] I am deprived H3499 of the rest H8141 of my years.

11 H559 [H8804] I said, H7200 [H8799] I shall not see H3050 the LORD, H3050 even the LORD, H776 in the land H2416 of the living: H5027 [H8686] I shall behold H120 man H3427 [H8802] no more with the inhabitants H2309 of the world.

12 H1755 My age H5265 [H8738] hath departed, H1540 [H8738] and is removed H7473 from me as a shepherd's H168 tent: H7088 [H8765] I have rolled up H707 [H8802] like a weaver H2416 my life: H1214 [H8762] he will cut me off H1803 with pining sickness: H3117 from day H3915 even to night H7999 [H8686] wilt thou make an end of me.

13 H7737 [H8765] I reckoned H1242 till morning, H738 that, as a lion, H7665 [H8762] so will he break H6106 all my bones: H3117 from day H3915 even to night H7999 [H8686] wilt thou make an end of me.

16 H136 O Sovereign, H2421 [H8799] by these things men live, H2416 and in all these things is the life H7307 of my spirit: H2492 [H8686] so wilt thou restore H2421 [H8685] me, and make me to live.

19 H2416 The living, H2416 the living, H3034 [H8686] he shall praise H3117 thee, as I do this day: H1 the father H1121 to the sons H3045 [H8686] shall make known H571 thy truth.

20 H3068 The LORD H3467 [H8687] was ready to liberate H5058 me: therefore we will sing my songs H5059 [H8762] to the stringed instruments H3117 all the days H2416 of our life H1004 in the house H3068 of the LORD.

21 H3470 For Isaiah H559 [H8799] had said, H5375 [H8799] Let them take H1690 a lump H8384 of figs, H4799 [H8799] and lay it for a plaster H7822 upon the boil, H2421 [H8799] and he shall recover.

22 H2396 Hezekiah H559 [H8799] also had said, H226 What is the sign H5927 [H8799] that I shall go up H1004 to the house H3068 of the LORD?
