Proverbs 28

  28:1   5343 φεύγει [²flees 765 ασεβής ¹An impious man] 3367 μηδενός with no one 1377 διώκοντος pursuing; 1342-1161 δίκαιος δε but the just man 5618 ώσπερ [²as 3023 λέων ³a lion 3982 πέποιθε ¹is secure].   28:2   1223 δι΄ Because of 266 αμαρτίας the sins 765 ασεβών of the impious, 2920 κρίσεις litigations 1453 εγείρονται arise; 435 ανήρ [³man 1161 δε ¹but 3835 πανούργος ²a clever] 2677.2 κατασβέσει extinguishes 1473 αυτάς them.   28:3   406.2 ανδρείος A vigorous man 1722 εν with 763 ασεβείαις impious deeds 4811 συκοφαντεί extorts 4434 πτωχούς the poor 5618 ώσπερ as 5205 υετός [⁴rain 2974.4 λάβρος ¹a fierce 2532 και ²and 512 ανωφωλής ³unprofitable].   28:4   3779 ούτως Thus 3588 οι the ones 1459 εγκαταλειπόντες abandoning 3588 τον the 3551 νόμον law 1471.1 εγκωμιάζουσιν laud 763 ασέβειαν impiety; 3588-1161 οι δε but the ones 25 αγαπώντες loving 3588 τον the 3551 νόμον law 4016 περιβάλλουσιν put [²around 1438 εαυτοίς ³themselves 5038 τείχος ¹a wall].   28:5   435 άνδρες [²men 2556 κακοί ¹Evil] 3756 ου do not 3539 νοήσουσι comprehend 2917 κρίμα equity; 3588-1161 οι δε but the ones 2212 ζητούντες seeking 3588 τον the 2962 κύριον lord 4920 συνήσουσιν perceive 1722 εν in 3956 παντί all.   28:6   2908 κρείσσων Better 4434 πτωχός a poor man 4198 πορευόμενος going 1722 εν in 225 αλήθεια truth, 4145 πλουσίου than a rich 5571 ψευδούς liar.   28:7   5442 φυλάσσει [³keeps 3551 νόμον ⁴the law 5207 υιός ²son 4908 συνετός ¹A discerning]; 3739-1161 ος δε but the one who 4165 ποιμαίνει tends 810 ασωτίαν carnality 818 ατιμάζει dishonors 3962-1473 πατέρα αυτού his father.   28:8   3588 ο The 4129 πληθύνων one multiplying 3588 τον   4149-1473 πλούτον αυτού his wealth 3326 μετά with 5110 τόκων interest 2532 και and 4121.3 πλεονασμών usury, 3588 τω   1653 ελεούντι [³for one showing mercy 4434 πτωχούς ⁴on the poor 4863 συνάγει ¹gathers 1473 αυτόν ²it].   28:9   3588 ο The 1578 εκκλίνων one turning aside 3588 το   3775-1473 ους αυτού his ear 3588 του   3361 μη to not 191 ακούσαι hear 3551 νόμου the law, 2532 και even 1473 αυτός he 3588 την   4335-1473 προσευχήν αυτού [²his own prayer 948 εβδέλυκται ¹abhors].   28:10   3739 ος The one who 4105 πλανά wanders 2117 ευθείς upright men 1722 εν in 3598 οδώ [²way 2556 κακή ¹an evil], 1519 εις [⁴into 1312 διαφθοράν ⁵corruption 1473 αυτός ²himself 1706 εμπεσείται ¹shall ³fall]; 3588-1161 οι δε and the 459 άνομοι lawless ones 1330 διελεύσονται shall go through 18 αγαθά good things, 2532 και and 3756 ουκ they shall not 1525 εισελεύσονται enter 1519 εις to 1473 αυτά them.   28:11   4680 σοφός [³is wise 3844 παρ΄ ⁴to 1438 εαυτώ ⁵himself 435 ανήρ ²man 4145 πλούσιος ¹A rich]; 3993 πένης [³needy man 1161 δε ¹but 3540.1 νοήμων ²an intelligent] 2607 καταγνώσεται shall condemn 1473 αυτού him.   28:12   1223 διά Through 996 βοήθειαν the help 1342 δικαίων of the just ones 4183 πολλή much 1096 γίνεται [²comes to pass 1391 δόξα ¹glory]; 1722-1161 εν δε but in 5117 τόποις the places 765 ασεβών of the impious 234.1 αλίσκονται [²are being captured 444 άνθρωποι ¹men].   28:13   3588 ο The 1943 επικαλύπτων one covering over 763-1473 ασέβειαν αυτού his impiety, 3756 ουκ [²not 2137 ευοδωθήσεται ¹his way shall] be prospered; 3588-1161 ο δε but the one 1834 εξηγούμενος describing 2532 και and 1650 ελέγχων reproving 25 αγαπηθήσεται shall be loved.   28:14   3107 μακάριος Blessed is 435 ανήρ a man 3739 ος who 2670.4 καταπτήσσει is struck with awe 3956 πάντα of all things 1223 δι΄ through 2124 ευλάβειαν veneration; 3588-1161 ο δε but the 4642 σκληρός hard 3588 την   2588 καρδίαν of heart 1706 εμπεσείται shall fall into 2556 κακοίς evils.   28:15   3023 λέων A lion 3983 πεινών hungering, 2532 και and 3074 λύκος a wolf 1372 διψών thirsting 3739 ος is the one who 5180.1 τυραννεί is sovereign 4434 πτωχός [⁴poor 1510.6 ων ³being 1484 έθνους ²nation 3998 πενιχρού ¹of a destitute].   28:16   935 βασιλεύς A king 1729 ενδεής lacking 4357.3 προσόδων revenue 3173 μέγας is a great 4811.1 συκοφάντης extortioner; 3588-1161 ο δε but the one 3404 μισών detesting 93 αδικίαν injustice 3117 μακρόν [²a long 5550 χρόνον ³time 2198 ζήσεται ¹shall live].   28:17   435 άνδρα [³of a man 3588 τον   1722 εν ⁴under 156 αιτία ⁵accusation 5408 φόνου ⁶of murder 3588 ο ¹The one 1449.1 εγγυώμενος ²guaranteeing a loan 5435.7 φυγάς ⁸an exile 1510.8.3 έσται ⁷will be], 2532 και and 3756 ουκ not 1722 εν in 803 ασφαλεία safety.   28:18   3588 ο The 4198 πορευόμενος one going 1346 δικαιώς justly 997 βεβοήθηται is helped; 3588-1161 ο δε but the one 4646 σκολιαίς [²crooked 3598 οδοίς ³ways 4198 πορευόμενος ¹going by] 1707 εμπλακήσεται shall be entangled.   28:19   3588 ο The 2038 εργαζόμενος one working 3588 την   1438 εαυτού his own 1093 γην land 4130 πλησθήσεται shall be filled 740 άρτων with bread loaves; 3588-1161 ο δε but the one 1377 διώκων pursuing 4981 σχολήν ease 4130 πλησθήσεται shall be filled 3997.1 πενίας with poverty.   28:20   435 ανήρ A man 513.1 αξιόπιστος worthy of trust 4183 πολλά in many things 2127 ευλογηθήσεται shall be blessed; 3588-1161 ο δε but the 2556 κακός evil one 3756 ουκ shall not 821.1-1510.8.3 ατιμώρητος έσται be unpunished.   28:21   3739 ος The one who 3756 ουκ does not 153 αισχύνεται feel respect for 4383 πρόσωπα persons 1342 δικαίων of the just, 3756 ουκ is not 18 αγαθός good; 3588 ο   5108 τοιούτος such a one 5596.1 ψωμού [³for a morsel 740 άρτου ⁴of bread 591 αποδώσεται ¹will deliver over 435 άνδρα ²a man].   28:22   4692 σπεύδει [³hastens 4147 πλουτείν ⁴to be rich 435 ανήρ ²man 940.1 βάσκανος ¹A bewitching], 2532 και and 3756 ουκ does not 1492 οίδεν know 3754 ότι that 1655 ελεήμων a merciful man 2902 κρατήσει will prevail over 1473 αυτού him.   28:23   3588 ο The 1651 ελέγχων one reproving 444 ανθρώπου a man's 3598 οδούς ways 5484 χάριτας [²favors 2192 έξει ¹shall have], 3123 μάλλον rather than 3588 του the 1101.2 γλωσσοχαριτούντος flatterer with the tongue.   28:24   3739 ος The one who 577 αποβάλλεται throws off 3962 πατέρα his father 2228 η or 3384 μητέρα mother, 2532 και and 1380 δοκεί assumes 3361 μη he does not 264 αμαρτάνειν sin; 3778 ούτος this one 2844-1510.2.3 κοινωνός εστιν is partner 435 ανδρός [²man 765 ασεβούς ¹of an impious].   28:25   571.2 άπληστος An insatiable 435 ανήρ man 2919 κρινεί judges 1500 εική in vain; 3739-1161 ος δε but the one 3982 πέποιθεν yielding 1909 επί upon 2962 κύριον the lord 1722 εν [²in 1958 επιμελεία ³care 1510.8.3 έσται ¹will be].   28:26   3739 ος The one who 3982 πέποιθε yields to 2351.3 θρασεία a rash 2588 καρδία heart, 3588 ο   5108 τοιούτος such a one 878 άφρων is a fool; 3739-1161 ος δε but the one 4198 πορεύεται who goes 4678 σοφία in wisdom 4982 σωθήσεται shall be delivered.   28:27   3739 ος The one who 1325 δίδωσι gives 4434 πτωχοίς to the poor 3756 ουκ shall not 1735.1 ενδεηθήσεται be in want; 3739-1161 ος δε but the one who 654 αποστρέφει turns 3588 τον   3788-1473 οφθαλμόν αυτού his eye 1722 εν [²in 4183 πολλή ³much 640 απορία ⁴perplexity 1510.8.3 έσται ¹will be].   28:28   1722 εν In 5117 τόποις the places 765 ασεβών of the impious 4730.1 στένουσι [²moan 1342 δίκαιοι ¹the just]; 1722-1161 εν δε but in 3588 τη the 1565-684 εκείνων απωλεία destruction of those 4129 πληθυνθήσονται [²shall be multiplied 1342 δίκαιοι ¹the just].
