⁴³ And why do ye not understand my language, but because ye cannot bear my doctrine?

⁴³ I am come in my Father's name, and ye receive me not: if another should come in his own name, him ye will receive.

⁶⁰ Many therefore of his disciples, when they heard Him, said, This discourse is hard to be understood, who can take it in?

¹⁷ If any man desire to do his will, he shall know concerning the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself.

²⁷ But they did not know that He spake unto them of the Father.

³⁹ And therefore they could not believe; for Esaias had also said, ⁴⁰ He hath blinded their eyes, and hardened their heart, that they might not see with their eyes, and understand with their heart, and be converted, and I should heal them.
