¹⁴ Guard this fine deposit of truth by the aid of the Holy Spirit who has His home in our hearts.

¹¹ So if you have not proved dependable in handling your ill-gotten riches, who will trust you with the true riches?

¹⁷ even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot accept, because it does not see Him or recognize Him, because He is going to remain with you, and will be within you.

² They are great from every point of view. In the first place, the Jews are entrusted with the utterances of God.

⁹ But you are not living on the plane of the lower nature, but on the spiritual plane, if the Spirit of God has His home within you. Unless a man has the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Him.

¹¹ If the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead has His home within you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give your mortal bodies life through His Spirit that has His home within you.

¹³ for if you live by such a standard, you are going to die, but if by the Spirit you put a stop to the doings of your lower nature, you will live.

¹⁶ Are you not conscious that you are God's temple, and that the Spirit of God has His permanent home in you?

¹⁹ Or, are you not conscious that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit that is in you, whom you have as a gift from God? Furthermore, you are not your own,

¹⁷ For if I do it of my own accord, I get my pay; but if I am unwilling to do it, I still am entrusted with trusteeship.

¹⁶ So from this moment on, I do not estimate anybody by the standard of outward appearances. Although I once did estimate Christ by this standard, I do not do so any longer.

¹⁹ For it was through Christ that God was reconciling the world to Himself instead of debiting men's offenses against them, and He has committed to me the message of this reconciliation. ²⁰ So I am an envoy to represent Christ, because it is through me that God is making His appeal. As one representing Christ I beg you, be reconciled to God.

⁷ On the contrary, because they saw that I had been entrusted with the good news for the heathen, just as Peter had been entrusted with it for the Jews --

²² and you yourselves, in union with Him, in fellowship with one another, are being built up into a dwelling for God through the Spirit.

¹⁸ Stop getting drunk on wine, for that means profligacy, but ever be filled with the Spirit,

¹¹ So does Jesus who is called Justus. These are the only converts from Judaism that are fellow-workers with me here for the kingdom of God, who have proved a real comfort to me.

¹⁹ Stop stifling the Spirit.

¹¹ as measured by the glorious good news of the blessed God, with which I have been entrusted.

²⁰ Timothy, guard what has been entrusted to you; continue to turn away from the worldly, futile phrases and contradictions of what is falsely called "knowledge,"

¹² This is why I am suffering so, but I am not ashamed of it, for I know whom I have trusted and I am absolutely sure that He is able to guard what I have entrusted to Him until that day.

² The things you learned from me before many witnesses you must commit to trustworthy men who will be competent to teach others too.

²² Since you have purified your souls by obeying the truth, in sincere love for the brotherhood you must love one another heartily and fervently,
