¹⁰ but has only recently been made known through the appearance of our Saviour Christ Jesus, who through the good news has put a stop to the power of death, and brought life and immortality to light.

¹¹ for today, in the town of David, a Saviour for you has been born, who is to be your Messiah and Lord.

³¹ which you prepared before all peoples, ³² a light of revelation to the heathen, and a glory to your people Israel."

³⁶ If then your whole body is full of light with no part of it in darkness, it will all be as light for you as it is when a lamp makes it light for you by its shining."

⁷ So he said to the vine-dresser, 'Look here! for three years I have been coming to look for figs on this fig tree, and have not found any. Cut it down. Why waste the ground with it?'

⁹ The real light, which sheds light upon everyone, was just coming into the world.

⁴² and they were saying to the woman, "It is not merely because of what you said that we now believe, for we have heard Him ourselves, and we know that He is really the Saviour of the world."

²⁴ "I most solemnly say to you, whoever listens to me and believes Him who has sent me possesses eternal life, and will never come under condemnation, but has already passed out of death into life. ²⁵ I most solemnly say to you, a time is coming -- indeed, it is already here -- when the dead will listen to the voice of the Son of God, and those who listen to it will live. ²⁶ For just as the Father has life in Himself, so He has granted to the Son to have life in Himself. ²⁷ He has also granted to Him authority to act as Judge because He is the Son of Man. ²⁸ Stop being surprised at this, for the time is coming when all that are in the graves will listen to His voice, ²⁹ and those who have done good will come out for a resurrection to life, but those who have done evil for a resurrection to condemnation.

⁴⁰ but you refuse to come to me to get possession of life.

²⁵ Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life myself. Whoever continues to believe in me will live right on even though he dies, ²⁶ and no person who continues to live and believe in me will ever die at all. Do you believe this?"

⁶ Jesus answered him, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.

³¹ But these have been recorded, in order that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that through believing you may have life, as bearers of His name.

³¹ God has exalted to His right hand this very One as our Leader and Saviour, in order to give repentance and forgiveness of sins to Israel.

²³ It is from this man's descendants that God, as He promised, has brought to Israel a Saviour in the person of Jesus,

⁷ eternal life to those who patiently continue doing good and striving for glory, honor, and immortality,

³¹ Do we then through faith make null and void the law? Not at all; instead, we confirm it.

¹⁷ For if by one man's offense death reigned through that one, to a much greater degree will those who continue to receive the overflow of His unmerited favor and His gift of right standing with Himself, reign in real life through One, Jesus Christ. ¹⁸ So, as through one offense there resulted condemnation for all men, just so through one act of uprightness there resulted right standing involving life for all men.

⁶ for we know that our former self was crucified with Him, to make our body that is liable to sin inactive, so that we might not a moment longer continue to be slaves to sin.

²⁶ but now has been fully brought to light by means of the prophetic Scriptures, and in accordance with the command of the eternal God has been made known to all the heathen, to win them to obedience inspired by faith --

⁵ So you must stop forming any premature judgments, but wait until the Lord shall come again, for He will bring to light the secrets hidden in the dark and will make known the motives of men's hearts, and the proper praise will be awarded each of us.

²⁶ Death is the last enemy to be stopped,

⁵³ For this decaying part of us must put on the body that can never decay, and this part once capable of dying must put on the body that can never die. ⁵⁴ And when this part once capable of dying puts on the body that can never die, then what the Scripture says will come true, "Death has been swallowed up in victory. ⁵⁵ O Death, where is your victory now? O Death, where is your sting?"

⁴ For I who am still in my tent am sighing beneath my burdens, because I do not want it to be put off but to put on the other over it, so that my dying body may be absorbed in life.

⁴ You people, whoever you are among you, who try to get into right standing with God, through law have cut yourselves off from Christ, you have missed the way of God's favor.

⁹ He has made known to us the secret of His will, which is in accordance with His purpose which He planned in Christ,

¹⁸ by having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, so that you may know what the hope is to which He calls you, how glorious rich God's portion in His people is,

²⁶ the open secret, covered up from the people of former ages and generations, but now uncovered to God's people, ²⁷ to whom God has chosen to make known how glorious are the riches of this open secret among the heathen, namely, Christ in you the hope of your glorification.

⁸ Then the representative of lawlessness will be uncovered, and the Lord Jesus will destroy him with the breath of His mouth and put a stop to his operations by His appearance and coming;

¹ Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, in accordance with the promise of the life that comes through union with Christ Jesus,

³ but at the proper time made known as His message through the message that I preach with which I have been entrusted by the command of God our Saviour; ⁴ to Titus, my genuine child in our common faith: be spiritual blessing and peace from God our Father and Christ Jesus our Saviour.

¹¹ For God's favor has appeared with its offer of salvation to all mankind,

¹³ while we are waiting for the realization of our blessed hope at the glorious appearing of our great God and Saviour Christ Jesus,

⁴ But when the goodness and lovingkindness of God our Saviour were brought to light,

¹⁴ Since then the children mentioned share our mortal nature, He too took on Himself a full share of the same, in order that He by His death might put a stop to the power of him who has the power of death, that is, the devil, ¹⁵ and set at liberty those who all their lifetime had been subject to slavery because of their dread of death.

³² But you must continue to remember those earlier days when first you received the light and then endured so great a struggle with persecution,

²⁰ who was foreordained for it before the foundation of the world but was brought out to public view at the end of the ages, for the sake of you ²¹ who through Him trust in God, who raised Him from the dead and gave Him glory; so that your faith and hope may rest in God.

¹ Simon Peter, a slave and apostle of Jesus Christ, to those who through the righteousness of our God and Saviour Jesus Christ have obtained the same precious faith that we have:

³ because His divine power has given us everything that is needful for life and piety, through our full knowledge of Him who through His glory and excellence has called us to Him.

¹¹ for it is in this way that to you will be generously granted a triumphant admittance into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

²⁰ For if, after men have escaped the corrupting ways of the world through a full knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they again become entangled in them and are conquered by them, then their last condition is worse than their former one.

² to remember the things foretold by the holy prophets, and the command of the Lord and Saviour through your apostles.

¹⁸ but instead, you must continue to grow in the spiritual strength and knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To Him be glory now and forever!

² and that life has been unveiled to us, and we have seen it and now testify to it and we now announce it to you, yea, the eternal life that was with the Father and has been unveiled to us.

¹⁴ We have seen and now testify that the Father has sent His Son to be the Saviour of the world.

⁷ Let everyone who has ears listen to what the Spirit says to the churches. I will give to him who conquers the privilege of eating the fruit of the tree of life that stands in the paradise of God."'"

¹ After this I saw another angel coming down from heaven. He had great authority and the earth was lighted up with his splendor.

¹⁴ Then death and the underworld were hurled into the fiery lake, This is the second death -- the fiery lake.

¹ Then he showed me a river of living water, clear as crystal, which continued to flow from the throne of God and of the Lamb ² down the middle of the city's Broadway. On both sides of the river grew the tree of life, which bore twelve kinds of fruit, yielding a different kind each month, and its leaves contained the remedy to cure the nations.

¹⁴ Blessed are those who wash their robes, so as to have a right to the tree of life and to enter the gates of the city.

¹⁷ The Spirit and the bride say, "Come." Let everyone who hears this say, "Come." Let everyone who is thirsty come. Let everyone who wishes come and take the living water without any cost.
