² And behold, there was a great earthquake; for an angel of the Lord descended from heaven, And came and rolled away the stone, and sat upon [it].

⁵¹ And behold, the vail of the temple was rent in two from the top to the bottom, and the earth did quake, and the rocks were rent. ⁵² And the graves were opened, and many bodies of saints which slept were raised, ⁵³ And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.

³ And they said among themselves, Who shall roll away the stone from the door of the sepulchre? for it was very great. ⁴ And they come and find the stone rolled away. ⁵ And entring into the sepulchre, they saw a young man sitting on the right side, clothed in a long white garment; and they were affrighted.

² But they reasoned among themselves who now shall roll away the stone?But They found the stone rolled away from the sepulchre. ³ And they entred in, and found not the body. ⁴ And it came to pass, as they were perplexed about it; behold two men stood by them in a shining garment. ⁵ And [they were] afraid, and bowed down [their] faces to the earth; But they said unto them, Why seek ye him that is alive among the dead?

¹ Now the first [day] of the week cometh Mary Magdalene early, while it was yet dark, unto the sepulchre, and seeth the stone taken away from the sepulchre.

¹² And seeth two angels, the one at the head, and the other at the feet, where the body of Jesus had lain: ¹³ And they say unto her, Woman, why Weepest thou? whom seekest thou? She saith unto them, Because they have taken away my Lord, and I know not where they have laid him.

²⁶ And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: But immediately all the doors opened, and every one's bands were loosed.

¹⁶ And without controversy, great is the mystery [of the word]of godliness: who was manifested in the flesh, justified in Spirit, seen of angels, preached among Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up in glory.

¹² Unto whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto you they did minister the things which are now reported unto you by them that have preached the gospel unto you, by the Holy Ghost, sent down from heaven; which things the angels desire to look into.

¹⁹ And the temple of God was opened, which is in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his covenant: and there were lightnings, and voices, and thundrings, and an earthquake, and great hail.
