²⁷ Then answered Peter and said to him, Behold we have forsaken all, and followed thee. What shall we have therefore?

²⁰ And straitway leaving the nets they followed him. ²¹ And going on from thence, he saw two other brethren, James the son of Zebedee and John his brother, in a vessel with Zebedee their father mending their nets; and he called them. ²² And leaving the vessel and their father, they immediately followed him.

⁹ And as Jesus passed along from thence, he saw a man named Matthew, sitting at the receit of custom, and saith to him, Follow me. And he arose and followed him.

¹⁰ But when the first came, they supposed that they should have received more; and they likewise received every one a penny. ¹¹ And having received it, they murmured against the housholder, saying, ¹² These last have wrought one hour, and thou hast made them equal to us, who have borne the burden and heat of the day.

¹⁷ casting a net into the sea (for they were fishers) And Jesus said to them, Come ye after me, and I will make you fishers of men. ¹⁸ And straightway leaving their nets, they followed him. And having gone thence a little farther, ¹⁹ he saw James the son of Zebedee and John his brother, who were also in the vessel, mending their nets: ²⁰ And he called them; and immediately leaving their father Zebedee in the vessel with the hired servants, they went after him.

¹⁴ And passing by, he saw Levi, the son of Alpheus sitting at the custom-house, and saith to him, Follow me.

²⁸ And Peter said to him, Lo, we have left all and followed thee. And Jesus answering said,

¹¹ And when they had brought their boats to land, they forsook all and followed him.

⁸ Yea doubtless, and I account all things to be loss, for the excellency of the knowledge of Jesus Christ my Lord; for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do account them but dung,

²⁷ And after these things he went forth, and saw a publican, named Levi, sitting at the receipt of custom, and said to him, Follow me. ²⁸ And leaving all, he rose up and followed him.

³³ So every one of you, who forsaketh not all that he hath, cannot be my disciple.

²⁹ And he answering said to his father, Lo these many years do I serve thee, neither transgressed I thy commandment at any time, yet thou never gavest me a kid, that I might make merry with my friends.

²⁸ Then Peter said, Lo we have left all and followed thee.

²⁹ But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who is made by God unto us wisdom,

⁷ For who maketh thee to differ from another? And what hast thou which thou hast not received? But if thou hast received it, why dost thou boast, as if thou hadst not received it?
