¹⁹ but he that is born of God keepeth himself, and the wicked one toucheth him not. We know, that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in the wicked one.

³¹ Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out.

³⁰ Hereafter I shall not talk much with with you; for the prince of this world is coming; but he hath nothing in me:

¹⁸ If the world hate you, ye know it hated me, before it hated you. ¹⁹ If ye were of the world, the world would love its own; but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.

¹¹ Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.

²⁸ And as they were not careful to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them up to an undiscerning mind, to do things not expedient, Filled with all injustice, maliciousness, covetousness, wickedness: ²⁹ full of envy, murder, contention, deceit, malignity: ³⁰ Whisperers, backbiters: haters of God, violent, proud: boasters, inventers of evil things: disobedient to parents, ³¹ Without understanding, covenant-breakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful. ³² Who knowing the righteous judgment of God, that they who do such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in those that do them.

⁹ What then? Are we better than they? In no wise: for we have before proved all, both Jews and Gentiles, to be under sin. ¹⁰ As it is written, There is none righteous, no not one. ¹¹ There is none that understandeth; there is none that seeketh after God. ¹² They have all turned aside; they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doth good, no not one. ¹³ Their throat is an open sepulchre; with their tongues have they used deceit; the poison of asps is under their lips. ¹⁴ Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness; ¹⁵ Their feet are swift to shed blood; ¹⁶ Destruction and misery are in their ways, ¹⁷ And they have not known the way of peace: ¹⁸ The fear of God is not before their eyes.

¹⁶ The same Spirit beareth witness with our spirits, that we are the children of God.

¹² For this is our rejoicing, the testimony of our conscience, that in simplicity and godly sincerity, not with carnal wisdom, but by the grace of God, we have had our conversation in the world, and more especially toward you.

⁴ Whose unbelieving minds the god of this world hath blinded, lest the illumination of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine upon them.

¹ For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle be dissolved, we have a building from God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.

⁴ (that he might deliver us from the present evil world) according to the will of God and our Father,

² who were dead in trespasses and sins, Wherein ye formerly walked, according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the sons of disobedience: Among whom also we all had our conversation in time past,

¹² For which cause also I suffer these things: yet I am not ashamed, for I know whom I have trusted, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed to him, until that day.

³ For we also were once foolish, disobedient, deceived, inslaved to various desires and pleasures, living in wickedness and envy, hateful, hating one another:

⁴ Ye adulterers and adultresses, know ye not, that the friendship of the world is enmity against God? Whosoever therefore desireth to be a friend of the world, is an enemy of God.

¹⁴ We know, that we are passed from death to life, because we love the brethren: he that loveth not his brother abideth in death.

²⁴ And he that keepeth his commandments, abideth in him, and he in him: and hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us.

⁴ Ye are of God, beloved children, and have overcome them; because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. ⁵ They are of the world; therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them. ⁶ We are of God; he that knoweth God, heareth us: he that is not of God, heareth not us: hereby know we the Spirit of truth and the spirit of error.

¹⁰ He that believeth on the Son of God, hath the testimony in himself. He that believeth not God, hath made him a liar, because he believeth not the testimony which he hath testified of his Son.

¹³ These things have I written to you that believe on the name of the Son of God, that ye may know ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the Son of God.

¹⁸ We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not;

²⁰ But we know that the Son of God is come; and he hath given us an understanding that we may know the true one; and we are in the true one, even in his Son Jesus Christ; this is the true God and eternal life.

⁹ And the great dragon was cast out, the antient serpent, who is called the devil and satan, who deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out unto the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

⁷ And it was given him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them, and authority was given him over every tribe, and people, and tongue, and nation. ⁸ And all that dwell upon the earth will worship him, whose name is not written in the book of life of the Lamb, who was slain, from the foundation of the world.

³ And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he might deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled. After this he must be loosed for a small time.

⁷ And when the thousand years are fulfilled, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison, ⁸ And shall go forth to deceive the nations, which are in the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle, whose number is as the sand of the sea.
