¹⁵ Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world: if any one love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

²⁴ No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will cleave to the one and neglect the other.

² And be not conformed to this world, but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect will of God.

¹ If ye then are risen with Christ, seek the things above, where Christ sitteth at the right-hand of God. ² Set your affections on the things above, not the things on the earth.

¹³ No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other, or he will cleave to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and Mammon.

¹⁹ If ye were of the world, the world would love its own; but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.

¹⁰ For do I now satisfy men, or God? Or do I seek to please men? For if I still pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.

¹⁰ For the love of money is the root of all evils; which some coveting, have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

⁴ Ye adulterers and adultresses, know ye not, that the friendship of the world is enmity against God? Whosoever therefore desireth to be a friend of the world, is an enemy of God.

¹⁷ But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?

⁵ They are of the world; therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them.

⁴ For whosoever is born of God overcometh the world; and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. ⁵ Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?

¹⁰ He that believeth on the Son of God, hath the testimony in himself. He that believeth not God, hath made him a liar, because he believeth not the testimony which he hath testified of his Son.
