¹ Follow after love: and desire spiritual gifts; but especially that ye may prophesy.

³⁰ What shall we say then? That the Gentiles who followed not after righteousness, have attained to righteousness, even the righteousness which is by faith:

⁶ Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given us, whether it be prophesy, let us prophesy according to the analogy of faith:

¹⁹ Let us therefore pursue the things that tend to peace, and to mutual edification.

¹ Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I would not have you ignorant.

³¹ And yet I shew unto you a more excellent way.

¹³ And now abide these three, faith, hope, love; but the greatest of these is love.

³ Whereas he that prophesieth, speaketh to men to edification, and exhortation, and comfort. ⁴ He that speaketh in an unknown tongue, edifieth himself; but he that prophesieth, edifieth the church. ⁵ I would that ye all spake with tongues, but rather that ye prophesied; for he that prophesieth, is greater than he that speaketh with tongues, unless he interpret, that the church may receive edification.

²⁴ Whereas if all prophesy, and there come in an unbeliever, or an ignorant person, he is convicted by all, he is judged by all: ²⁵ The secrets of his heart are made manifest, and so falling down on his face, he will worship God, and declare that God is among you of a truth.

³⁷ If any one think himself to be a prophet, or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things which I write to you, are the commandments of the Lord.

³⁹ Therefore, brethren, covet to prophesy; yet forbid not to speak with tongues.

¹⁴ Let all your affairs be done in love.

³ Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places through Christ,

²⁰ Despise not prophesyings.

¹⁴ Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery.

¹⁰ having been the wife of one husband, Well reported of for good works, if she hath brought up children, if she hath lodged strangers, if she hath washed the feet of the saints, if she hath relieved the afflicted, if she hath diligently followed every good work.

¹¹ But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.

²² Flee also youthful desires; but follow after righteousness, faith, love, peace with them that call upon the Lord, out of a pure heart.

¹⁴ Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:

¹¹ Let him turn from evil and do good; let him seek peace and pursue it. ¹² For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open to their prayers, but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil. ¹³ And who is he that will harm you, if ye be followers of that which is good?

⁷ and to patience godliness, And to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love.

¹¹ Beloved, follow not that which is evil, but that which is good. He that is a doer of good is of God, but he that is a doer of evil, hath not seen God.
