¹ For the Chief Musician. A Psalm by David. In you, Yahweh, I take refuge. Let me never be disappointed. Deliver me in your righteousness.

⁸ Yahweh administers judgment to the peoples. Judge me, Yahweh, according to my righteousness, and to my integrity that is in me. ⁹ Oh let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end, but establish the righteous; their minds and hearts are searched by the righteous God.

⁴ Our fathers trusted in you. They trusted, and you delivered them. ⁵ They cried to you, and were delivered. They trusted in you, and were not disappointed.

² My God, I have trusted in you. Don’t let me be shamed. Don’t let my enemies triumph over me.

¹ Vindicate me, God, and plead my cause against an ungodly nation. Oh, deliver me from deceitful and wicked men.

¹ In you, Yahweh, I take refuge. Never let me be disappointed. ² Deliver me in your righteousness, and rescue me. Turn your ear to me, and save me. ³ Be to me a rock of refuge to which I may always go. Give the command to save me, for you are my rock and my fortress.

¹ A Psalm by David. Hear my prayer, Yahweh. Listen to my petitions. In your faithfulness and righteousness, relieve me.

¹¹ Revive me, Yahweh, for your name’s sake. In your righteousness, bring my soul out of trouble. ¹² In your loving kindness, cut off my enemies, and destroy all those who afflict my soul, For I am your servant.

²³ Kings shall be your foster fathers, and their queens your nursing mothers. They will bow down to you with their faces to the earth, and lick the dust of your feet. Then you will know that I am Yahweh; and those who wait for me shall not be disappointed.”

¹⁶ Lord, according to all your righteousness, let your anger and please let your wrath be turned away from your city Jerusalem, your holy mountain; because for our sins, and for the iniquities of our fathers, Jerusalem and your people have become a reproach to all who are around us.

⁵ and hope doesn’t disappoint us, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.

¹¹ For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes in him will not be disappointed.”
