⁷ Thou shalt not take the name of the Lorde thy God in vayne, for the Lord wil not holde him giltlesse that taketh his name in vayne.

¹² Ye shal not swere by my name falselye: that thou defilest not the name of thy God, I am the Lorde.

¹¹ And the Israelitish womans sonne blasphemed the name and cursed, and they broughte him vnto Moses. And his mothers name was Selamyth, the doughter off Dybri off the trybe of Dan: ¹² and they putt him in warde, that Moses shulde declare vnto them what the Lorde sayde thereto. ¹³ And the Lorde spake vnto Moses sayenge, ¹⁴ bringe him that cursed without the hoste, and let all that herde him, put their handes apo his heed, and let all the multitude stone him. ¹⁵ And speake vnto the childern of Israel sayenge: Whosoeuer curseth his God, shall bere his synne: ¹⁶ And he that blasphemeth the name of the Lorde, shall dye for it: all the multitude shall stone him to deeth. And the straunger as well as the Israelite yf he curse the name, shall dye for it.

²⁰ Thou shalt feare the Lorde thi God and serue him and cleaue vnto him ad swere by his name,

³³ Agayne ye haue hearde how it was sayd to the of olde tyme thou shalt not forsuere thy selfe but shalt performe thyne othe to God. ³⁴ But I saye vnto you swere not at all nether by heue for it ys Goddes seate: ³⁵ nor yet by the erth for it is his fote stole: nether by Ierusalem for it ys ye cyte of yt greate kynge: ³⁶ nether shalt thou sweare by thy heed because thou canst not make one white heer or blacke: ³⁷ But your comunicacion shalbe ye ye: nay nay. For whatsoeuer is more then yt cometh of yvell.

¹⁶ Wo be vnto you blynd gides which saye whosoever sweare by the teple it is no thinge: but whosoever sweare by the golde of the temple he offendeth. ¹⁷ Ye foles and blinde? whether is greater the golde or the teple that sanctifieth ye golde. ¹⁸ And whosoever sweareth by the aulter it is nothinge: but whosoever sweareth by ye offeringe yt lyeth on ye aultre offendeth. ¹⁹ Ye foles and blinde: whether is greater ye offeringe or ye aultre which sanctifieth ye offeringe? ²⁰ Whosoever therfore sweareth by ye aultre sweareth by it and by all yt there on is. ²¹ And whosoever sweareth by the teple sweareth by it and by hym yt dwelleth therin. ²² And he that sweareth by heve swereth by the seate of God and by hym that sytteth theron.

⁶³ But Iesus helde his peace: And the chefe Preeste answered and sayd to him: I charge the in the name of the lyvinge God that thou tell vs whether thou be Christ the sonne of God. ⁶⁴ Iesus sayd to him: thou haste sayd. Neverthelesse I saye vnto you hereafter shall ye se the sonne of ma syttinge on the right honde of power and come in the clowddes of the skye.

²³ I call God for a recorde vnto my soule that forto faver you with all I came not enymoare vnto Corinthum.

¹⁶ Men verely sweare by him that is greater then them selves and an othe to confyrme the thynge ys amonge them an ende of all stryfe. ¹⁷ So god willynge very aboundanly to shewe vnto the heyres of promes the stablenes of his counsayle he added an othe

¹² But above all thynges my brethre sweare not nether by heven nether by erth nether by eny other othe. Let youre ye be ye and youre maye naye: lest ye faule into ypocrecy.
