¹⁶ And Joab son of Saruia was at the head of the army, and Josaphat son of, Achilud was recorder,

²⁴ and Adoniram was over the tribute, and Josaphat son of Achiluth was recorder, ²⁵ and Susa was scribe, and Sadok and Abiathar were priests,

⁶ And David garrisoned that part of Syria which belonged to Damascus, and the inhabitants became David's vassals, and brought him gifts. And the Lord preserved David wherever he went.
