¹² Are not, Abanah and Pharpar, rivers of Damascus, better than all the waters of Israel? may I not bathe, in them, and be clean? So he turned, and went away in a rage.

⁸ Then Elijah took his mantle, and wrapped it together, and smote the waters, and they were divided, hither and thither,––so that they two, passed over, on dry ground.

¹⁴ and took the mantle of Elijah which had fallen from him, and smote the waters, and said, Where is Yahweh, the God of Elijah? And, when, he also, smote the waters, they were divided, hither and thither, and Elisha, passed over.

¹ In that day, there shall be an opened fountain, for the house of David, and for the Inhabitants of Jerusalem,––for sin and for uncleanness.

⁸ And it shall come to pass, in that day, that there shall go forth living waters out of Jerusalem, half of them unto the sea before, and half of them unto the sea behind, in summer and in winter, shall it he.
