³ For this man was counted worthy of more glory than Moses, just as he who has built the house has more honour than the house.

¹⁸ And I say also to you, That you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it.

⁹ For we are labourers together with God: you are God's field, God's building.

² Has in these last days spoken to us by his Son, whom he has appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds. ³ He is the brightness of his glory, and the exact representation of his nature, upholding all things by the word of his power. When he had purged our sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high; ⁴ Having become as much superior to the angels as the name he has inherited is superior to theirs.

⁹ But we see Jesus, who was made for a little while lower than the angels, crowned with glory and honour because he suffered death; that he, by the grace of God, should taste death for every man.

⁶ But Christ was faithful as a son over his own house, whose house we are, if we hold fast our confidence and our joyful hope.

⁵ You also, as living stones, are being built up into a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. ⁶ For this is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Zion a cornerstone, chosen and precious: and he who believes in him shall not be put to shame. ⁷ Therefore, to you who believe, he is precious: but to those who disbelieve, the stone which the builders rejected has become the very cornerstone,
