²⁵ To take part in this ministry and apostleship, from which Judas turned aside, that he might go to his own place.

⁴¹ Then he shall say to those on the left hand, Depart from me, you cursed, into eternal fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:

⁴⁶ And these shall go away into eternal punishment: but the righteous into eternal life.

²⁴ The Son of man goes as it is written of him: but woe to that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed! it would have been better for that man if he had not been born.

³ Then Judas, who had betrayed him, when he saw that he was condemned, repented, and brought back the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders, ⁴ Saying, I have sinned in that I have betrayed innocent blood. And they said, What is that to us? see to that yourself. ⁵ And he cast down the pieces of silver in the temple, and departed, and went and hanged himself.

⁷⁰ Jesus answered them, Have not I chosen you twelve, and one of you is a devil? ⁷¹ He spoke of Judas Iscariot the son of Simon: for it was he, one of the twelve, who would betray him.

²⁷ And after the morsel, Satan entered into him. Then Jesus said to him, What you do, do quickly.

¹² While I was with them in the world, I kept them in your name: those you gave me I have kept, and none of them has been lost, except the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled.

¹⁶ Brethren, this scripture had to be fulfilled, which the Holy Spirit spoke by the mouth of David concerning Judas, who was the guide to those who arrested Jesus. ¹⁷ For he was numbered with us, and had his part in this ministry. ¹⁸ (Now this man purchased a field with the reward of his wickedness; and falling headlong, he burst apart in the middle, and all his bowels gushed out. ¹⁹ And it became known to all who dwelt in Jerusalem; so that the field is called in their tongue, Akeldama, that is to say, The field of blood.) ²⁰ For it is written in the book of Psalms, Let his habitation become desolate, and let no man live in it: and his office let another take. ²¹ Therefore, of those men who have accompanied us all the time that the Lord Jesus went in and out among us,

⁵ By whom we have received grace and apostleship, to bring about the obedience of faith among all the nations, for his name's sake;

² If I am not an apostle to others, yet doubtless I am to you: for you are the seal of my apostleship in the Lord.

⁸ (For he who worked effectively in Peter in his apostleship to the circumcised, also worked in me for the Gentiles:)

³ And in greed they shall exploit you with false words: the judgment against them from of old does not linger, and their condemnation does not slumber. ⁴ For if God did not spare the angels who sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into pits of gloom, to be reserved for judgment; ⁵ And did not spare the old world, but saved Noah, a preacher of righteousness, with seven others, when he brought a flood upon the world of the ungodly; ⁶ If he condemned the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah, overthrowing them and turning them into ashes, and made them an example to those who would be ungodly;

⁶ And the angels which did not keep their own domain, but left their proper abode, he has kept in eternal chains under darkness for the great day of judgment. ⁷ Just as Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities about them, which gave themselves over in a similar manner to sexual immorality, and to going after strange flesh, are set forth as an example of suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.
