⁵ For they willingly ignore this, that by the word of God the heavens existed long ago, and the earth was formed out of water and by water.

¹⁹ And this is the judgment, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. ²⁰ For everyone who does evil hates the light, and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed.

²⁸ And as they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them over to a depraved mind, to do those things which are not proper.

¹⁷ And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together.

¹⁰ And with all wicked deception for those who perish; because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. ¹¹ And for this reason God shall send them a strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: ¹² That all those might be condemned who did not believe the truth, but took pleasure in unrighteousness.

³ Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were made of things which do not appear.
