³ When I look at your heavens, the creation of your fingers, the moon and the stars that you have set in place,

¹ In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

² Jehovah’s deeds are spectacular. They are studied by all who enjoy them.

⁷ To him who made the great lights. His loving kindness is everlasting: ⁸ The sun to rule by day, for His loving kindness is everlasting, ⁹ The moon and stars to rule by night, for His loving kindness is everlasting.

³ Praise him, sun and moon. Praise him, all shining stars.
