Exodus 10:12-15

12 Jehovah said to Moses: »Stretch out your hand over the land of Egypt for the locusts. Let them come up upon the land of Egypt and eat every herb of the land, all that the hail has left.« 13 Moses held his staff over the land of Egypt. Jehovah made a wind from the east blow over the land all that day and all that night. By morning the east wind had brought the locusts. 14 They invaded all of Egypt and landed all over the country in great swarms. Never before had there been so many locusts, nor would there ever be that many again. 15 They covered all the ground until it was black with them. They ate all the plants and all the fruit on the trees that the hail had left. Nothing green was left on any tree or plant anywhere in Egypt.

It is strong and very large. His teeth are the teeth of a lion, and he has the jaw-teeth of a lioness. 7 »He has laid my vine waste and stripped off the bark of my fig tree. He stripped its branches white and clean and threw it away.

Revelation 9:3-10

3 Out of the smoke came locusts upon the earth. Power was given to them like the scorpions of the earth have power. 4 They were commanded not to hurt the grass of the earth, nor any tree, but only those men who do not have the seal of God in their foreheads. 5 The locusts were not to kill them, but should torment them for five months: and their torment was the torment of a scorpion, when it strikes a man. 6 Men will seek death in those days and will not find it. They will desire to die and death will elude them. 7 The appearance of the locusts was like horses prepared for battle. They wore gold crowns on their heads and their faces were like the faces of men. 8 Their hair was like the hair of women. Their teeth were like the teeth of lions. 9 They had breastplates like iron. The sound of their wings was as the sound of chariots with many horses running to battle. 10 Their tails were like scorpions' tails, for there were stings in their tails. They had power to hurt men five months.
