⁷ My servant Moses is not so. He is faithful in all my house.

¹⁸ I will raise them up a prophet from among their brothers, like you; and I will put my words in his mouth, and he shall speak to them all that I shall command him.

¹ Now it happened after the death of Moses the servant of the LORD, that the LORD spoke to Joshua the son of Nun, Moses' servant, saying,

²⁶ He sent Moses, his servant, and Aaron, whom he had chosen.

⁹ But what did you go out to see? A prophet? Yes, I tell you, and much more than a prophet.

¹¹ Truly I tell you, among those who are born of women there has not arisen anyone greater than John the Baptist; yet he who is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.

²² For Moses indeed said to the fathers, 'The Lord your God will raise up a prophet for you from among your brothers, like me. You must listen to him in all things whatever he says to you. ²³ It will be, that every soul that will not listen to that prophet will be utterly destroyed from among the people.'

³¹ When Moses saw it, he wondered at the sight. As he came close to see, a voice of the Lord came,

² Here, moreover, it is required of stewards, that they be found faithful.

¹⁵ but if I wait long, that you may know how people ought to behave themselves in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.

² who was faithful to him who appointed him, as also was Moses in all his house. ³ For he has been counted worthy of more glory than Moses, just as he who built the house has more honor than the house. ⁴ For every house is built by someone; but he who built all things is God. ⁵ Moses indeed was faithful in all his house as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were afterward to be spoken, ⁶ but Christ is faithful as a Son over his house; whose house we are, if we hold fast our confidence and the boast of our hope.

⁴ coming to him, a living stone, though rejected by people but chosen by God, precious. ⁵ You also, as living stones, are built up as a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.
