¹ These are the Actes of Nehemiah the sonne of Hachalia. It fortuned in the moneth Casleu in the twentye yeare, that I was in the castell at Susan:

⁷ And there went vp certayne of the children of Israel, & of the priestes, and of the Leuites, of the syngers, of the porters, and of the Nethinims vnto Ierusalem, in the seuenth yeare of kinge Arthaxerses.

⁹ Then all the men of Iuda and Beniamin gathered themselues together vnto Ierusalem in thre dayes, that is on the twentye daye of the nynth moneth: and all the people sate in the strete before the house of God, and trembled, because of the matter, and for the rayne.

¹ In the moneth Nisan in the twentieth yeare of kynge Arthaxerses, when the wyne stode before him, I toke vp the wyne, & gaue it vnto the kynge & I was heauy in hys presence.

¹ These sealers were: Nehemiah (that is) Hathirsatha the sonne of Hachaliah & Zedekiah,

² what tyme as he sate on hys seate royal in the castel of Susan

¹⁵ And the postes wente in all the hast according to the kinges commaundement. And in the castell of Susan was the commaundement deuised. And the kynge and Haman sate and drancke. But the cyty of Susan was disquyeted.

² I saw in vision (& when I saw it, I was at Susis in the chefe citie, whyche lyeth in the lande of Elam) and in the vision, me thought I was by the ryuer of Vlai.

¹ It happened also in the fourthe yeare of kinge Darius, that the word of the lord came vnto Zachary in the fourth daye of the .ix. monethe, whiche is called Caslew:
