Rounde aboute the rotes of hym ranne there floudes of water, he sente oute hys lytle ryuers vnto al the trees of the felde. 5 Therfore was he hyer then all the trees of the felde, and thorowe the multytude of waters that he sente from hym, he obtayned manye longe braunches. 6 All foules of the ayre made theyr nestes in hys braunches, vnder his bowes gendred all these beastes of the felde and vnder hys shadowe dwelte all people. 7 Fayre and beutyful was he in hys greatnesse and in the length of hys braunches, for hys rote stode besyde great waters, 8 no Cedre tree myght hyde hym. In the pleasaunte garden of God, there was no fyrre tre lyke his braunches, the plaine trees were not lyke the bowes of hym. All the trees in the garden of God myght not be compared vnto hym in hys beuty 9 so fayre and goodly had I made him wyth the multytude of hys braunches: In so muche that al the trees in the pleasaunte garden of God, had enuye at hym. 10 Therfore, thus saith the Lorde God: for so muche as he hath lyfte vp him self so hye, & stretched his toppe into the cloudes, & seynge hys herte is proude in hys hyghnesse:

The beastes of the feld had shadowes vnder it, and the foules of the ayre dwelte in the bowes therof. Shortly, all creatures fed of it. 13 I sawe in my heade a vysyon vpon my bed: & beholde, a watcher came doune from heauen, 14 & cryed myghtely, sayinge. Hew doune the tre, breake of hys braunches, shake of hys leaues, and scatre hys frute abroade: that all the beastes maye get them awaye from vnder hym, and the foules from his braunches. 15 Neuertheles leaue the grounde of hys rote styll in the earthe, and bynde hym vpon the playne feld, with cheynes of yron and stele. For yf thou boste thy selfe, remember that thou bearest not the rote, but the rote the. 19 Thou wylte saye then: the braunches are broken of, that I might be grafte in. 20 Thou sayeste well: because of vnbelefe they are broken of, & thou standest stedfaste in faythe. 21 Be not hye mynded, but feare seyng that God spared not the naturall braunches, leste happlye he also spare not the. 22 Beholde the kyndnes and rigorousnes of God on them which fell, rygorousnes: but towardes the kyndnes, yf thou contynue in hys kyndnes. Or els thou shalte be hewen of, 23 and yf they byde not styll in vnbelefe, shalbe graffed in agayne. For God is of power to graffe them in agayn. 24 For yf thou wast cut out of a naturall wylde olyue tree, and waste graffed contrary to nature into a true olyue tre, howe muche more shall the naturall braunches be graffed into theyr owne olyue tree agayne.
