¹⁵ The aulter was foure cubytes hye, & from the aulter vpwarde stode foure hornes,

² And make it hornes procedyng out in the .iiij. corners of it, & couerte wyth brasse.

⁹ And the sonnes of Aaron broughte the bloude vnto hym, & he dypt hys fingers in the bloud and put it vpon the hornes of the alter, & poured the bloud vnto the bottome of the alter.

²⁸ Then tydinges came to Ioab: for Ioab had turned after Adoniah but not after Salomon. Whervpon he fled vnto the tabernacle of the Lorde and caught handfast on the hornes of the aultare.

²⁷ God is the lord, and hath shewed vs light O garnysh the solempne feaste wyth grene braunches, euen vnto the hornes of the aulter.

¹ Wo be vnto the O Ariel, thou citye that Dauid wanne. Take yet some years, & let some feastes yet passe ouer: ² then shall Ariel be beseged, so that she shall be heuy and sorowfull, & shall be vnto me euen as a lyon.

⁷ But nowe the multytude of all the people, that wente oute agaynste Ariel: the whole hoste, the stronge holdes and sege, is lyke a breame whiche appeareth in the nyghte.
