⁹ And the Lorde sayd vnto Moses: Pharao shall not regarde you, that many wonders may be wrought in the land of Egypt.

¹⁹ Notwithstandynge I am sure that the kyng of Egypte wyl not let you go, except it be wyth a myghty hand:

³ But I wyl harden Pharaos hert, that I may multiply my miracles & my wunders in the land of Egypt. ⁴ And yet Pharao shall not herken vnto you, that I may sette myne hand vpon Egypte and brynge out myne armies, euen my people the chyldred of Israell out of the land of Egypte, with greate Iudgementes.

¹ The Lord sayed vnto Moses: go vnto Pharao: neuerthelesse I haue hardened hys herte, & the hertes of hys seruauntes, that I myght shew these my signes amongest them,

¹⁶ on whom I will haue compassion. So lyeth it not then in a mans wil or cunnynge, but in the mercy of God. ¹⁷ For the scripture sayeth vnto Pharao. Euen for this same purpose haue I sterred the vp, to shewe my power on the and that my name myghte be declared thorowout al the worlde. ¹⁸ So hath he mercie on whom he wyll, and whom he wyll, he maketh harde herted.
