¹⁷ They pierced my hands and my feet; I may tell all my bones. They stand staring and looking upon me.

²¹ Insomuch that his body is clean consumed away, and his bones appear no more.

³ For my days are consumed away like smoke, and my bones are burnt up as it were a firebrand. ⁴ My heart is smitten down, and withered like grass, so that I forget to eat my bread. ⁵ For the voice of my groaning, my bones will scarce cleave to my flesh.

¹⁴ Like as the multitude shall wonder upon him, because his face shall be so deformed and not as a man's face, and his beauty like no man:

³⁶ And they sat and watched him there.

³⁹ They that passed by reviled him, wagging their heads ⁴⁰ and saying, "Thou that destroyest the temple of God, and buildest it in three days: save thyself. If thou be the son of God, come down from the cross." ⁴¹ Likewise also the high priests, mocking him with the scribes and elders, said,

²⁹ And they that went by, railed on him: wagging their heads, and saying, "A wretch, that destroyest the temple and buildest it in three days. ³⁰ Save thyself, and come down from the cross." ³¹ Likewise also mocked him the high priests among themselves with the scribes, and said, "He saved other men, himself he cannot save. ³² Let Christ the King of Israel now descend from the cross, that we may see and believe." And they that were crucified with him, checked him also.

²⁷ And there followed him a great company of people, and of women: which women bewailed, and lamented him.

³⁵ And the people stood and beheld. And the rulers mocked him with them, saying, "He helped other men, let him help himself if he be Christ, the chosen of God."
