⁵ And when they were come to Salamis, they showed the word of God in the synagogues of the Jews. And they had John to their minister.

¹³ Then Moses rose up, and his minister Joshua, and Moses went up into the hill of God,

³ When he saw that, he arose and went for his life, and came to Beersheba in Judah, and left his lad there.

²¹ And he went back again from after him, and took a yoke of oxen and slew them, and dressed the flesh with the instruments of the oxen and gave it the people, and they did eat. And then he arose and went after Elijah and ministered unto him.

¹¹ But Jehoshaphat said, "Is there here no prophet of the LORD's, that we may enquire of the LORD by him?" And one of the king of Israel's servants answered and said, "Here is Elisha the son of Shaphat which poured water on the hands of Elijah."

²⁶ It shall not be so among you: But whosoever will be great among you, let him be your minister,

²⁰ And straightway he preached Christ in the Synagogues how that he was the son of God.

¹² And as he considered the thing, he came to the house of Mary the mother of one John, which was called Mark also, where many were gathered together in prayer.

²⁵ And Barnabas and Saul returned to Jerusalem, when they had fulfilled their office, and took with them John, which was also called Mark.

¹⁴ But they wandered through the countries, from Perga to Antioch a city of the country of Pisidia, and went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and sat down.

⁴⁶ Then Paul and Barnabas waxed bold, and said, "It was meet that the word of God should first have been preached to you. But seeing ye put it from you, and think yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, lo, we turn to the gentiles.

¹ And it fortuned in Iconium that they went both together into the synagogue of the Jews, and so spake, that a great multitude both of the Jews and also of the Greeks believed.

³⁷ And Barnabas gave counsel, to take with them John called also Mark:

¹ As they made their journey through Amphipolis and Apollonia, they came to Thessalonica where was a synagogue of the Jews. ² And Paul, as his manner was, went in unto them: and three Sabbath days declared out of the scripture unto them, ³ opening and alleging that Christ must needs have suffered and risen again from death. And that this Jesus was Christ, whom, said he, "I preach to you."

¹⁷ Then he disputed in the synagogue with the Jews, and with the devout persons; And in the market daily with them that came unto him.

⁴ And he preached in the synagogue every Sabbath day; And exhorted the Jews and the gentiles.

⁸ And he went into the synagogue, and behaved himself boldly for the space of three months: disputing, and giving them exhortations of the kingdom of God.

¹⁰ Aristarchus my prison fellow saluteth you; And Mark, Barnabas' sister's son: touching whom, ye received commandments. If he come unto you receive him: ¹¹ Only Luke is with me. Take Mark and bring him with thee, for he is necessary unto me for to minister.
