⁵¹ The proud have utterly scorned me; yet I have not turned aside from Your Law.

¹¹ My foot has held fast in His steps; I have kept His way, and have not fallen away;

¹⁸ Our heart is not turned back, nor have our steps turned aside from Your way,

²¹ You have rebuked the proud who are cursed, who go astray from Your Commandments.

³¹ I have stuck to Your testimonies; O Jehovah, do not put me to shame.

⁶⁹ The proud have forged a lie against me; I will keep Your Commandments with all my heart.

¹⁵⁷ Many are my persecutors and my enemies, yet I do not turn aside from Your testimonies.

³ Have mercy on us, O Jehovah, have mercy on us; for we are exceedingly filled with scorn. ⁴ Our soul is exceedingly filled with the contempt of those who are at ease, with the scorn of the proud.

³ and said, Remember now, O Jehovah, I beseech You, how I have walked before You in truth and with a whole heart, and have done the good in Your sight. And Hezekiah wept with a great weeping.

⁴ He shall not fail nor be discouraged until He has set judgment in the earth; and the coasts shall wait for His Law.

⁷ O Jehovah, You have deceived me, and I was deceived. You are stronger than I, and You have prevailed. I am in derision all the day; everyone laughs at me.

¹⁴ And being money-lovers, all the Pharisees also heard all these things. And they derided Him. ¹⁵ And He said to them, You are those who justify yourselves before men, but God knows your hearts. For that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God.

³⁵ And the people stood watching. And also the rulers with them, scoffing, saying, He saved others, let Him save Himself, if He is the Christ, the chosen of God.

²³ except that the Holy Spirit witnesses in every city, saying that bonds and afflictions await me. ²⁴ But none of these things move me, neither do I count my life dear to myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus Christ, to testify fully the gospel of the grace of God.

¹ Therefore since we also are surrounded with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight and the sin which so easily besets us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, ² looking to Jesus the Author and Finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and sat down at the right of the throne of God. ³ For consider Him who endured such contradiction of sinners against Himself, lest you be weary and faint in your minds.
