¹ And Jehovah spoke to Moses in the wilderness of Sinai, in the tabernacle of the congregation, on the first day of the second month, in the second year after they had come out of the land of Egypt, saying,

¹ In the third month when the sons of Israel had gone forth out of the land of Egypt, on this day they came to the wilderness of Sinai.

²² And I will meet with you there, and I will talk with you from above the mercy-seat, from between the two cherubs on the ark of the testimony, of all things which I will give you in commandment to the sons of Israel.

² You shall set up the tabernacle of the tent of the congregation on the first day of the first month.

¹⁷ And it was in the first month in the second year, on the first of the month, the tabernacle was reared up.

¹ And Jehovah called to Moses and spoke to him out of the tabernacle of the congregation, saying,

³⁴ These are the commandments which Jehovah commanded Moses for the sons of Israel in Mount Sinai.

¹¹ And on the twentieth of the second month, in the second year, the cloud was taken up from the tabernacle of the testimony. ¹² And the sons of Israel pulled up stakes in their journeyings out of the wilderness of Sinai. And the cloud rested in the wilderness of Paran.

¹ And it happened in the four hundred and eightieth year after the sons of Israel had come out of the land of Egypt, in the fourth year of Solomon's reign over Israel, in the month Zif, which is the second month, he began to build the house of Jehovah.
