¹ The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God:

⁷ I will declare the decree of Jehovah. He has said to Me, You are My Son; today I have begotten You.

¹⁷ And lo, a voice from Heaven, saying, This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

³ And when the tempter came to Him, he said, If You are the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread.

³³ And those in the boat came and worshiped Him, saying, Truly You are the Son of God.

⁵ While he yet spoke, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them. And behold a voice out of the cloud which said, This is My beloved Son in whom I am well pleased, hear Him.

² even as those who from the beginning delivered to us, becoming eye-witnesses and ministers of the Word, ³ it seemed good to me also, following all things accurately from the very first, to write to you in order, most excellent Theophilus,

³⁵ And the angel answered and said to her, The Holy Spirit shall come on you, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow you. Therefore also that Holy One which will be born of you shall be called Son of God.

¹⁰ And the angel said to them, Do not fear. For behold, I give to you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. ¹¹ For to you is born today, in the city of David, a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.

¹⁴ And the Word became flesh, and tabernacled among us. And we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and of truth.

³⁴ And I saw and bore record that this is the Son of God.

⁴⁹ Nathanael answered and said to Him, Rabbi, You are the Son of God. You are the King of Israel!

¹⁶ For God so loved the world that He gave His only-begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

⁶⁹ And we have believed and have known that You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.

³¹ But these are written so that you might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you might have life in His name.

¹ Truly, O Theophilus, I made the first report as to all things that Jesus began both to do and teach ² until the day He was taken up, having given directions to the apostles whom He chose, through the Holy Spirit;

¹ Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, a called apostle, separated to the gospel of God ² (which He had promised beforehand through His prophets in the Holy Scriptures), ³ about His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord, who was made of the seed of David according to the flesh, ⁴ who was marked out the Son of God in power, according to the Spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead;

³ For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh;

³² Truly He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?

¹ God, who at many times and in many ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets, ² has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, by whom also He made the worlds,

¹ That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, concerning the Word of Life, ² (for the Life was revealed, and we have seen it and bear witness, and show to you the everlasting Life, who was with the Father and was revealed to us), ³ that which we have seen and heard we declare unto you, so that you also may have fellowship with us. And truly our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ.

¹¹ And this is the record, that God has given to us everlasting life, and this life is in His Son. ¹² He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.
