¹ And the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them.

¹ In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

¹⁰ And God called the dry land, Earth. And He called the gathering together of the waters, Seas. And God saw that it was good.

⁴ These are the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created in the day that Jehovah God made the earth and the heavens.

¹¹ For in six days Jehovah made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore Jehovah blessed the Sabbath day, and sanctified it.

¹⁷ It is a sign between Me and the sons of Israel forever. For in six days Jehovah made the heavens and the earth, and on the seventh day He rested, and was refreshed.

¹⁹ and lest you lift up your eyes to the heavens, and when you see the sun, and the moon, and the stars, all the host of heaven, lest you should be driven to worship them and serve them, which Jehovah your God has allotted to all nations under all the heavens.

³ and has gone and served other gods and worshiped them, either the sun, or moon, or any of the host of heaven, which I have not commanded,

¹⁵ And Hezekiah prayed before Jehovah and said, O Jehovah, the God of Israel, who dwells between the cherubs, You are God Himself, You alone, of all the kingdoms of the earth. You have made the heavens and the earth.

³ For he built up again the high places which his father Hezekiah had destroyed. And he reared up altars for Baal, and made an Asherah, as Ahab king of Israel did. And he worshiped all the host of heaven, and served them. ⁴ And he built altars in the house of Jehovah, of which Jehovah said, In Jerusalem I will put My name. ⁵ And he built altars for all the host of the heavens in the two courts of the house of Jehovah.

¹² And Hiram said, Blessed be Jehovah, the God of Israel, who made heaven and earth, who has given to David the king a wise son blessed with judgment and understanding, who might build a house for Jehovah and a house for his kingdom.

⁶ You, even You, are Jehovah alone. You have made the heavens, heaven of the heavens, with all their host, the earth, and all things on it, the seas, and all in them, and You preserve them all. And the host of the heavens worships You.

⁹ who of all these does not know that the hand of Jehovah has done this?

⁶ By the Word of Jehovah were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of His mouth.

⁹ For He spoke, and it was done; He commanded, and it stood.

¹¹ The heavens are Yours, the earth also is Yours; You have founded the world and its fullness. ¹² The north and the south, You have created them; Tabor and Hermon shall rejoice in Your name. ¹³ You have a mighty arm; Your hand is strong, and Your right hand is high.

² covering Yourself with light as with a robe; and stretching out the heavens like a curtain;

⁵ To Him who by wisdom made the heavens; for His mercy endures forever. ⁶ To Him who stretched out the earth above the waters; for His mercy endures forever. ⁷ To Him who made great lights; for His mercy endures forever. ⁸ The sun to rule by day; for His mercy endures forever.

⁶ who made the heavens and earth, the sea and all that is in it; who keeps truth forever;

⁴ And all the host of the heavens shall be dissolved, and the heavens shall be rolled like a scroll; and all their host shall droop, as a leaf falls off from the vine, and as the falling from the fig tree.

²⁶ Lift up your eyes on high, and behold, who has created these, who brings out their host by number? He calls them all by names by the greatness of His might, for He is strong in power; not one is lacking. ²⁷ Why do you say, O Jacob, and speak, O Israel, My way is hidden from Jehovah and my judgment has passed over from my God? ²⁸ Have you not known? Have you not heard, that the everlasting God, Jehovah, the Creator of the ends of the earth, does not grow weak nor weary? There is no searching of His understanding.

⁵ So says Jehovah God, He who created the heavens and stretched them out, spreading out the earth and its offspring; He who gives breath to the people on it and spirit to those who walk in it.

¹² I have made the earth, and created man on it; I with My hands have stretched out the heavens; and all their host have I commanded.

¹⁸ For so says Jehovah the Creator of the heavens, He is God, forming the earth and making it; He makes it stand, not creating it empty, but forming it to be inhabited. I am Jehovah, and there is no other.

¹³ My hand also has laid the foundation of the earth, and My right hand has stretched out the heavens. I called; they stood up together.

⁹ For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts.

¹⁷ For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth. And the things before will not be remembered, nor come to mind.

² And they shall spread them before the sun, and the moon, and all the host of the heavens, whom they have loved and whom they have served, and after whom they have walked, and whom they have sought, and whom they have worshiped. They shall not be gathered nor buried; they shall be as dung on the face of the earth.

¹² He has made the earth by His power; He has established the world by His wisdom, and has stretched out the heavens by His judgment.

¹⁶ The Portion of Jacob is not like them; for He is the Maker of all things; and Israel is the rod of His inheritance. Jehovah of Hosts is His name.

¹ The burden of the Word of Jehovah for Israel, says Jehovah, who stretches forth the heavens, and lays the foundation of the earth, and forms the spirit of man within him.

¹³ And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host, praising God and saying,

²⁴ And having heard, they lifted up their voice to God with one accord and said, Lord, You are the God who made the heaven and earth, and the sea, and all that is in them;

⁴² Then God turned and gave them over to serve the host of the heavens, as it is written in the book of the Prophets: "O house of Israel, have you offered to Me slain beasts and sacrifices forty years in the wilderness?

³ For we who have believed do enter into the rest, as He said, "I have sworn in My wrath that they should not enter into My rest;" although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.
