⁸ And all the people answered together and said, All that Jehovah has spoken we will do. And Moses returned the words of the people to Jehovah.

¹⁹ And they said to Moses, You speak with us, and we will hear. But let not God speak with us, lest we die.

³ And Moses came and told the people all the Words of Jehovah, and all the judgments. And all the people answered with one voice and said, All the words which Jehovah has said, we will do.

⁷ And he took the book of the covenant, and read in the ears of the people. And they said, All that Jehovah has said we will do, and be obedient.

²⁷ You go near and hear all that Jehovah our God shall say. And you speak to us all that Jehovah our God shall speak to you, and we will hear and act. ²⁸ And Jehovah heard the voice of your words when you spoke to me. And Jehovah said to me, I have heard the voice of the words of this people, which they have spoken to you. They have well said all that they have spoken. ²⁹ Oh that there were such a heart in them that they would fear Me and keep all My commandments always, so that it might be well with them and with their sons forever!

¹⁷ You have today said that Jehovah is your God, and that you would walk in His ways, and keep His statutes and His commandments and His judgments, and listen to His voice. ¹⁸ And Jehovah has taken you today to be His peculiar people, as He has promised you, and to keep all His commandments, ¹⁹ and to make you high above all nations which He has made, in praise and in name and in honor, and that you may be a holy people to Jehovah your God, even as He has spoken.

²⁴ And the people said to Joshua, We will serve Jehovah our God, and His voice we will obey.

²⁹ were holding fast to their brothers, their honored ones. And they entered into a curse and into an oath, to walk in God's Law which was given by Moses the servant of God, and to be careful to do all the commandments of Jehovah our Lord, and His judgments and His statutes.
